has been asked to prepare information packs to include an A4 poster and booklet to give visitors.
These will provide knowledge and understanding of: • the workings of the human body • disorders that affect body systems • how important body functions can be measured. In addition, you will take some body systems measurements of one of the sports teams at
school and present the results.
Read through all of the tasks carefully, so that you know what you will need to do to complete this assignment.
1. Prepare an A4 poster on: • Structure and function of the cardiovascular
system
Ensure you include ALL of the following points

Title: LO3 - Be able to interpret data obtained from measuring body rates with reference to the functioning of healthy body systems
For these tasks you have to carry the 3 tests out on another
person and get results
Pulse rate:
• What is it? • How is it calculated (bpm) • What should an average resting heart rate be of an adult be? • How do the results you have collected compare to the resting heart rate norms? • What is recovery rate? • How do the results you have collected compare to the recovery rate norms? • Is the person you have collected results for healthy (cardiovascular system working well), if not
how does it affect their body and how can they improve this?
Example
Test for the cardiovascular
system
Peak flow:
• What is it? • How is it calculated • What should an average peak flow be for the age of your participant? • How do the results you have collected compare to the peak flow norm? • Is the person you have collected results for healthy (respiratory system working well), if not how
does it affect their body and how can they improve this?
Example
Test for the respiratory system
BMI (Body Mass Index):
• What is it? • How is it calculated? • How do the results you have collected compare to the BMI norm for your participants height? • Is the person you have collected results for healthy (digestive system working well), if not how
does it affect their body and how can they improve this?
