Shall we take advantage of this Important Meeting to discuss how to make this happen? If anyone is interested in this idea, please join me in one of the other rooms to define how to do it and maybe set a goal to be able to attend the next MACHC meeting as a new stakeholder in the Region.

19.2 Hydrographic Society The IHO raised the issue of a lack of Hydrographic Society within the MACHC region. There is currently a hydrographic society of North America but this could be extended to include all of the Americas and the Caribbean. MS supported the concept of a hydrographic society of the Americas that would unite the professional interests of hydrographic specialists and provide an international collective voice whenever required.
