We acknowledge the Mouheneener People, the traditional custodians of this land on which we gather for worship.

This church seeks to be a place of safety and acceptance for all people.

Matthew 22: 34-46 The life of faith is simple really. No it’s not, it is actually really complicated. Well is it simple or complicated? Jesus’ teaching on the Law is right here in these verses. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul and your mind. The second is like it, Love your neighbour as you love yourself.” Is that it then? What about the all the writings of Paul and the book of Leviticus? What about culture, social norms, sexual ethics, race, climate change, political views, economics, recreation…and all that. Isn’t that also relevant to the correct, holy and pious Christian life? Well of course it is. Love God and Love people. And then figure all of that other stuff out according to that! You see, it’s all about life!... Abundant life!!! And most importantly,.. It’s all about love. Michael Duke

Rockpool A Reflective Space Come and Spend Time with Silence,

Poetry, Thoughts and Songs.

Pray for others. Meditate and be with God. Friday afternoons 2:30 - 3:30 at the Church More information: Judith Cornish or Bronwyn Morton

STAGE 3 Update You will recall in August we held four conversations. (Morning Teas and Coffee and Desert) The PCG was delighted how many of the congregation shared in the conversations. The PCG and I think many who shared in the conversations found them particularly helpful as we look to what we have achieved and forward to where God might be leading us.

We have written up the notes of those meetings as Mission Commitment Stage 3 and as Guidelines for the PCG as it plans ahead. These were presented to the Church Council, who endorsed them. Next Sunday we will include a four page report that the Church Council has endorsed and a brief presentation will be made during Worship for the information of the Congregation. We hope you will take the opportunity to read this report which becomes a possible road map as we look to the next stage focusing on accommodation in our Intentional Community here at Rowallan Park. BRIDGEWATER GAGEBROOK - sometimes we do not know how to help. Here is one way for people who would like to donate monies to help the church after the disastrous fire. There will be a bowl available for your donations at the window near morning tea. This bowl will be put out each Sunday. This is purely voluntary. Donations can also be mailed to PO Box 174 Bridgewater 7030 or direct debit details are available from David Parker (They will not be able to receive any donated goods for some time.) Thankyou

The NEW 2017 CHURCH DIRECTORY is available today for collecting. These are named and in alphabetical order on the table at the back of the church.

An ADVENT STUDY will commence at the church on Wednesday 29th November. This study will be held in the afternoon and evening. There is a sign up sheet on the

Notice Board. Please indicate your interest and choice of time. Thank you.

Many of you will fondly remember Alan and Sue Matthews, who were

members of the congregation until they moved to WA a few years ago.

Alan contacted us to let us know that Sue passed away this week.

Please keep Alan and family in your prayers.
