General Care For Stick Insects

Food:

They feed on a variety of Eucalyptus species such as Soft leaf Wattle Species, The Dwarf Peppermint Tree Agonis Flexuosa Nana and some are quite fond of rose leaves.

Setting up their food is quite simple. Small cuttings of their food can be placed into a container of water. This will allow the stick insects to feed on the upright stems of leaves.

Drill holes through a lid of a container for the stems to go through. This will prevent young stickies from downing in the open topped container. Misting leaves with fresh water daily is essential to maintaining a healthy environment for your stick insects. - Spray Bottles Code No. S160 -

All the new insects we carry come from eastern Australia. They are very social and a number of them can be kept together in a single enclosure. We now have Western Australian Stick Insects from Broome /Augusta Males when older are capable of flying, where as females will not be able to do so.
