The Irish Centre for Cloud
Computing and Commerce
is an industry-led multi-
discipline multi-
institutional research
centre based in Ireland.
It is part of the Irish
programme for
government with initial
funding from Enterprise
Ireland and IDA Ireland.
MISSION
To carry out industry-led,
applied technical and
business research &
innovation in the area of
cloud computing
to generate and transfer knowledge and technology to industry members, in areas which they can commercialise.
to accelerate the rate at which Irish businesses adopt cloud computing
to facilitate Irish companies in developing and deploying software applications on cloud platforms
to showcase Ireland’s capabilities in cloud computing

IC4 operates on a
membership basis with
industry members ranging
from start-ups to
multinational companies.
Membership can be
achieved through:

Industry members help
select projects, have access
to all research outputs and
preferential IP rights.

reflect the agile context
our target membership
base operates in. This
requires more flexible
researcher profiles and a
commitment to sprint
research.

presentations and briefing
papers through Basecamp.
There are currently 258
files and presentations in
the library covering
technical, legal and
business research.
FUNDING
IC4 has a core grant of €5m
from the Irish government
and works to a 1:1:1 model
whereby for every €1 of
exchequer funding, we
seek to match it with in-
kind or third party funding.
We work with industry
partners to identify
funding mechanisms to do
the projects they want or
need to do.
