(Ifyouprintontopaperyouwillneedsomecardboard,suchasacerealbox,andsomegluetostickthetemplateto)• Scissors• String• CottonThread• 3sticks
Findsomeinyourgardenoronyourwalk!• Anythingyouhaveathometodecorateandcolourin!
1. Decorateyourbirds!
Usewhateveryouhaveathometodecorateandcolourinyourbirdsonbothsides.
Youcanusethepoemtoinspireyou!Youcanevencopylinesfromthepoemandputthemonyouralbatross.
Ifyouprintedonpaper–gluethetemplateontocardboard.(Ifusingoldpackaging,gluetotheprintedside,leavingtheplaincardboardontheothersideforyoutocolourin!)

2. Cutoutyourbirds!Remembertocutalongthedottedlineandmakesmallholes(withapencilorscissors)wheremarked.Cuttwoevenlengthsofcottonforeachbird.Threadcottonthroughtheholesreadytohandfromtheframeofthemobile.(Itworksbestifeachbirdhasadifferentlengthofcottonsotheywillhangatdifferentheights.)
3. Makethemobilestructure!Placethreemediumsizedsticksintoatriangleandtieeachcornerwithstring.Usingthreeequallengthsofstring,tietoeachcorner.Tiethelooseendstogether,makingsurethetriangleframehangslevel.
4. Tiebirdstotheframe!Makesureeachbirdishanginglevel.Itworksbestiftheyhangatdifferentheights.
5. PutontheWings!Slideeachwindinthemiddleofthebirdandbalancewingsintheirmiddle.
YOUAREFINISHED!Hangyouralbatrossmobileinyourhouseongarden(onasunnyday).
