We realise that the COVID-19 situation is constantly changing, but we also know that our shoeboxes bring so much joy to the families that receive them. We feel if we do not proceed many of our beneficiaries will miss out on what could be the only gift they receive at Christmas.There is also some concern that people are short of actual shoeboxes since the shops have been closed, so may we suggest a few alternatives that may help resolve this.One of our churches came up with the idea of using “draw string cloth bags” (15inch x 12inch) to make up Shoebox parcels instead of boxes, using luggage labels to itemise what is inside. These can be purchased at any pound shop.You can purchase a single flat pack shoebox online at: www.baginboxman.co.uk from as little as 94p each (including VAT), 25 boxes for £27.18 (including VAT), delivery charges will apply.
