Eric Bradford, conductorHear me now, oh thou bleak and unbearable world. Thou art base and debauched as can be; and a knight with his banners all bravely unfurled now hurls down his gauntlet to thee! I am I, Don Quixote, the Lord of La Mancha, My destiny calls and I go, and the wild winds of fortune will carry me onward, oh, whither-so-ever they blow, whither-so-ever they blow, onward to glory I go! Hear me, heathens and wizards and serpents of sin! All your dastardly doings are past, for a holy endeavor is now to begin and virtue shall triumph at last! OFFERTORY Mitch Leigh/Joe DarionDulcinea

Don Quixote meets Aldonza, a lady of questionable morals, but believes her to be the lady “Dulcinea,” and treats her with kindness.

Mat Govich, soloistSt. Luke's OrchestraRobert Fasol, piano

Eric Bradford, conductorI have dreamed thee too long, never seen thee or touched thee but known thee with all of my heart. Half a prayer, half a song, thou hast always been with me, ‘though we have been always apart.

Dulcinea, Dulcinea, I see heaven when I see thee, Dulcinea; and thy name is like a prayer an angel whispers, Dulcinea, Dulcinea. If I reach out to thee, do not tremble and shrink from the touch of my hand on thy hair. Let my fi ngers but see thou art warm and alive and no phantom to fade in the air. Dulcinea, Dulcinea, I have sought thee, sung thee, dreamed thee, Dulcinea; now I’ve found thee and the world shall know thy glory, Dulcinea, Dulcinea.

†DOXOLOGY OLD 100thPraise God from whom all blessings fl ow; praise Him all creatures here below; praise Him above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

†THE GOSPEL Rev. David PoteetJesus said to them, “Bring some of the fi sh that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fi sh, a hundred and fi fty-three of them; and although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fi sh. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead. When they had fi nished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” A second time he said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go.” (This he said to show by what death he was to glorify God.) And after this he said to him, “Follow me.” (John 21:10 - 19) This is the Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Eric Bradford, conductorTo dream the impossible dream, to fi ght the unbeatable foe, to bear with unbearable sorrow, to run where the brave dare not go. To right the unrightable wrong, to love pure and chaste from afar, to try when your arms are too weary, to reach the unreachable star! This is my quest, to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far; to fi ght for the right without question or pause, to be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause! And I know if I’ll only be true to this glorious quest, that my heart will lie peaceful and calm, when I’m laid to my rest. And the world will be better for this, that one man, scorned and covered with scars, still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable stars.

†hymn AZMONThe Spirit Sends Us Forth to Serve

The Spirit sends us forth to serve; we go in Jesus’ name to bring glad tidings to the poor, God’s favor to proclaim. We go to comfort those who mourn and set the burdened free; where hope is dim, to share a dream and help the blind to see.We go to be the hands of Christ, to scatter joy like seed and, all our days, to cherish life, to do the loving deed. Then let us go to serve in peace, the gospel to proclaim. God’s Spirit has empowered us; we go in Jesus’ name.

†sending forth Dr. Robert E. LongGrant us vision to see a new worldand experience life anew.We will trust in Your love for usand share that love to bring hope to the world.

AladdinThere’s nothing wrong with wanting to get ahead in life – unless it causes you to compromise your values. In Aladdin, the main character pretends to be something he’s not in order to find love, and exploits his friendship with the Genie. At the end of a struggle between good and evil, he eventually discovers the virtues of being himself, and is able to see that kindness is what can truly get you ahead in life.

Isaiah Bailey, an Arkansas native, is a former member of the Life Light Band, and thrilled to be back at his second home! Bailey is now residing in Branson, Missouri where he is playing the role of Pharaoh in Moses at the Sight and Sound Theatre. He will continue in that role until December 31, 2016. Bailey, a full time actor, singer, and voice teacher is a proud 2014 graduate of Oklahoma City University, where he received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Bailey is excited to announce that he is releasing a new album that will be available on all digital

music outlets mid August 2016. Some of Bailey's credits include: Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma: Dreamgirls (Curtis Taylor Jr.) Big Fish (Don Price) Lés Miserables, Big River, Tarzan Ragtime. Hope Summer Rep: Lés Miserables (Javert) Poteet Theatre: Ragtime (Coalhouse Walker Jr.), Dreamgirls, Hairspray, and The Color Purple (Mister).

Originally from Great Britain, Alex moved to Texas as a young man, and now resides in the great city of Dallas. While working on his degree in vocal performance at Oklahoma City University, Alex worked as an intern in the St. Luke’s music ministry for four years. Alex moved back to DFW to pursue a career in stage and screen acting and has performed on nearly every Dallas stage. Alex has starred on television and in films, as well as commercials and the theatre. For a complete listing of his credits, please visit marycollins.com/alex-ross. Mobile Meals Drivers NeededLooking for a way to share God’s love? You can bring hope to the homebound, simply by delivering a meal that they’re unable to prepare on their own. Right now, drivers are needed for the Mobile Meals ministry to help the hungry in our own community. We desperately need regular drivers to deliver meals just one Saturday a month. Substitute drivers will deliver on an as-needed basis. If you can help, please contact Julie Robinson at [email protected], or 609-1009.
