Our experienced third party inspection team includes a professional engineer, senior project manager and project manager, who have all been trained and certiϐied in Post‐Construction BMP Inspection by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. They have over 40 years combined experience in the ϐield of erosion and sediment control and stormwater management. Our commitment is to provide cost‐ effective and compliant solutions that meet state and federal stormwater regulations. In addition, we have developed a portable web‐ based inspection database. Best Management Prac ces (BMPs) BestManagementPractices,orBMPs,aredesignedtolessentheimpactofdevelopmentonlocalwaterbodiesbyreducingthevolumeofrunoffandconcentrationofpollutants.TypicalBMPsincludestormwaterin iltrationsystems,bioretentionsystems,stormwaterdetentionfacilitiesandvariousmanufacturedsystems.

Why inspect post‐construc on BMPs? Post‐constructionBMPinspectionisrequiredeveryyearforpropertieswithinmunicipalitiesthathavepassedaPost‐ConstructionStormwaterManagementOrdinance(requiredbyMaine’sSmallMunicipalSeparateStormSewerSystems[MS4]GeneralPermit)andevery iveyearsforpropertiesthatareoperatingunderaStormwaterPermitfromtheMaineDepartmentofEnvironmentalProtection(DEP).Theseinspectionsensurethatpost‐constructionstormwatermanagementplansarefollowedandstormwatermanagementfacilitiesaremaintained.Whetherayearlyor iveyearinspectionisrequired,allpost‐constructionBMPinspectionsshouldbemadebyprofessionalstrainedandcerti iedbytheMaineDEP.Thesethirdpartyinspectorsareabletodocumenthowwellasite’sBMPsarebeingmaintainedandiftheyarefunctioningasintended.
