The headlines and studies are pervasive on the gap in women in PE & VC and
the value to diversity. The WAVE forum will provide a unified platform
leveraging support from affiliated industry groups, to help encourage women
to lean into and persist with the business. The forum will also efficiently
help employers begin to solve the continued issue on finding qualified
female candidates across all levels of our industry.

Third Annual Women in Alternatives Career Forum
Friday November 8, 2019
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Any organization in the alternatives industry that are looking to hire and/or interact with enthusiastic, qualified and highly
educated women. The conference attendees who are attending as candidates will be pre-screened. The candidates will have
backgrounds ranging from undergraduates through 2-3 years post MBA (including analysts/associates from investment banks,
management consulting firms, accountants, lawyers, operators, marketers, etc.)
THE CAREER FORUM PROVIDES:
• Premier exposure to private equity professionals and undergrad through post-MBA students from around the country.
• Extensive networking opportunities.
• Increased brand recognition through event cross-promotion and event materials.
• Access to insights in the private equity industry through panel discussions and Roundtable discussions. Roundtables will be led
by table captains, who will be the panelists, sponsors and industry veterans, helping to provide better direct access and more
targeted conversations with the candidates.
• The Expo portion of the event permits one-on-one interaction with attendees and ability to showcase your portfolio companies,
which is valuable to those organizations looking to hire and/or share additional information about their business or organization.
A floor plan of table locations will be available to make meeting targeted groups more efficient.

2ND ANNUAL CAREER FORUM FEEDBACK:
“I was amazed at the quality of the event, from the speakers to the many talented
women in attendance to the structure of the day. I got the opportunity to connect with
a number of bright young women with whom I’ve already begun a real dialogue.”
“I strongly recommend the Career Forum for any student who doesn't know much about
private equity or the alternative investments industry. It's a great way to learn from
professionals and grow your network!”
"We happened to be hiring for a couple post-MBA positions at the time, and the resume book you put together in conjunction
with the conference was very helpful to us, as we had a goal of building a more diverse candidate pool. Not only was the
quantity of resumes quite robust, the quality of the individuals was very strong as well. We interviewed about 35 candidates for
the position and ended up hiring 2 individuals whose resumes we sourced from the WAVE resume book."
“I really appreciated the networking aspect and the fact that the attendees included students from both grad and undergrad as
well as professionals. I also liked how a bunch of firms, speakers/panelists took part in the event to give information/advice.”
"The WAVE Career Forum was highly interactive and provided us with great access to young highly motivated intelligent
professionals seeking to further their careers in finance; we quickly found a perfect candidate and will be back in 2019."
