IntroductionThink-Pair-Share (TPS) is a collaborative learning strategy where students collectively work together to solve a problem or answer to a reading assignment.

This promotes participation, focuses attention, and engages students.

Pair:Discuss the answer with partner.

Share:Share ideas with the class.

Think:Individual students think about the topic or answer to a question.

How to use Think, Pair, Share in the classroom

• When posed with a question or a problem, ask the students to think about an answer to the question or problem presented. This is done individually.

• The students then pair up and discuss their answers with each other. Talk about similarities, differences, etc.

• Lastly, the students then share their answers with the rest of the class, promoting discussion and understanding of the topic.
