•The poem Gerontion by T.S Eliot is about the opinion and impressions of a gerontic through a monologue that describes Europe after WWI

• Eliot considered using this poem as a preface to another work of his called “The Waste Land”.

• This poem has two other versions the original script named Gerousia and the second version which has commentary by Ezra Pound
