There are two types of English Language Movies which I have chosen are “Alvin and the

Chipmunks” and “The Cars”. The contrast of difference between these two movies is the

characters, choice of music and place.

The contrast of both the Movies is the used of character to present in the movie. For example,

in the movie of “Alvin and the Chipmunks” have the three chipmunks to represent as the

singers in the movie, whereas in the movie of “The Cars”. It represents the people in the

movie with only cars to bring the attention to us that our city which is now filling with too

many cars than people.

The choice of music used in the movie also conveys the message represent of the time. For

example, the movie of “Alvin and the Chipmunks” uses Merry Christmas songs in the movie

for the celebration of the Christmas Day. Furthermore, Bagdasarian, Jr. and Karman who are

the singing voices for Alvin, Theodore and the Chipettes in the movie are respectfully

recorded to use for the sound of characters as they show each of the different personality of

the characters in the movie. However, in the movie of “The Cars”, the music used is more

from the composition of the musicians who are the jazz music instrumental players.

The places which are shown in both movies are very different as there are differences of

message being conveyed through the happening at places. For example, in the movie of

“Alvin and the Chipmunks”, it shows the happenings more like our daily lives activity. On

the other hand, “The Cars” shows the road and the race track which are the happenings where

it shows the advanced technology as well as the use of the cars. It is the representation of the

cars as the people living activities in the city.

At last, the contrast of the differences between two of the movies show the very different in

not only the characters, but also the happenings of places as well as the music presented. I

find out the production of the movies stories are created at the different time and the

happenings in the movie show a great contrast as the whole movie presented.
