There are many James Bond movies back in the old time. Bond is a character who manage to overcome in any difficult situation due to his intelligence and is irresistible to women. Nowadays, James Bond movies are globally well-known. Everyone knows that he is a british secret service agent with varies of special gadgets or devices which come handy in his mission. The movies that I will compare are “ Die Another Day “ starring Pierce Brosnan and “ Casino Royale “ starring Daniel Craig.

Firstly, both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have different missions in their movie. In Casino Royale, Le Chiffre is a banker, as well as a banker in the terrorist’s world .He is participating a poker game in Montenegro and he must win the money in this game in order to keep himself alive in the terrorist’s world. Daniel Craig’s mission in this movie is to bankrupt Le Chiffre by beating him in the high-stakes poker game. In Die Another Day, at first, Pierce Brosnan is sent to North Korea to take out a rogue North Korea colonel ,Colonel Moon .Unfortunately his identity was discovered. His mission is to prevent the military leader, Colonel Moon from using a satellite heat beam to destroy the North/South Korea.

Besides, both movies have some part that caught my eyes, which are the chase scenes. In Casino Royale, I would say it is very interesting when Daniel Craig is on his chase with the bombmaker, Mollaka, who is an experienced free-runner. Mollaka leads him into a construction site which gives a huge advantage for Mollaka to slip away from Bond, but it didn’t work for him. Their chase leads them to the Nambutu embassy where he seeks asylum. Daniel Craig managed to escape eventhough he is surrounded by the armed guards. On the other hand, in Die Another Day ,the chase scene is put at the very first part as the movie starts. I would say the chase scene in this movie is more perilous than the one in Casino Royale because Pierce Brosnan is chased by the North Korea army. After his identity discovered, he managed to chase the Colonel Moon and he also survived the bullet rains during the chase .Unfortunately, he is caught by the General Moon, Colonel Moon’s father.

Next, in both movies, there are torture scenes but they are different in my point of view. For the torture scene in Die Another Day, Pierce Brosnan is being tortured by North Korean soldiers in the military base for 14 months, which considered as a long period of torture. After 14 months of captivity and tortures, he is traded with Moon’s assistant, Zao, in a prisoner exchange. On the other hand, in Casino Royale, Daniel Craig’s assistant, Vesper Lynd was kidnapped by Le Chiffre because Daniel Craig won all his money in the high-stakes poker game. Vesper Lynd was then tied and left in the middle of the road as a bait during the pursue. Without any conscience from Daniel Craig, he turn his car aside to avoid accident. Daniel Craig then fell into Le Chiffre’s trap and then he is brought to a place where the torture begins. Le Chiffre use a rough and hard rope with a tied up knot infront to torture him. Le Chiffre whipped his scrotum with the rope hardly. Eventhough Daniel Craig is being torture just a night time, I can feel that torture is worst than Pierce Brosnan’s.

Besides that, gadgets or special devices are used in James Bond movies to attract audience liking and to make the movie more interesting. In Die Another Day , gadgets are used often than in Casino Royale. Pierce Brosnan experienced the virtual combat training simulator which looks like a normal glasses created by Q. Q also brief his invention to Pierce Brosnan such as the glass-shattering ring and the multifunction Aston Martin Vanquish. In Casino Royale, it seems like little amount of gadgets are used to help Daniel Craig’s mission.He plants the bug in Le Chiffré's benzedrine inhaler while he is participating the poker game with Le Chiffre to track his location and also his conversations. Not to mention about the field medical kit that stowed away under the passenger-side dashboard of his car that saved his life during the poker game as Le Chiffre poisoned him.

Last but not least, James Bond movies are exciting and some of the parts make you feel tense. The James Bond movies have a bit of humor in them and are not just all action throughout the whole film.
