Naveen leads on property acquisitions,

construction and developments.

He is The Parklane Group’s liaison with

architects, planners, designers, and the

construction team, ensuring the final

property development is to the highest

quality. Through the maintenance

team, Naveen also ensures the current

property portfolio is maintained to a

high standard.

Sameer concentrates his energies on

managing the property portfolio with

a view to maximising rental income

and overseeing operational matters

within the group. Sameer has a strong

financial background and liaises with

banks, lawyers and fund providers

for the acquisition and development

of properties.

Nadeem brings a breadth of knowledge

and financial expertise to The Parklane

Group, involving himself in The Group’s

financial and operational strategy.

Nadeem is also managing partner of

Henton & Co LLP, a firm of chartered

accountants whose headquarters are in

Leeds.

When Mr Nazir Ahmed purchased his first residential property in 1977, the seeds of The Parklane Group were planted. He has an intimate knowledge and understanding of the property market thanks to years of experience in everything from student lettings to commercial property.

Nazir founded The Parklane Foundation and is involved in a number of charitable

activities including a micro finance project in Malawi, Africa, helping widows and

orphans, as well as an eco fish-farming project. The Parklane Group is also a Patron of

The Prince’s Trust and supports many other local causes.

rest of the world. Our objective is to successfully operate a premium aparthotel

brand, with over 2000 suites across 20 gateway city locations, within the next five

years.

We will always be true to our belief that guests should enjoy everything the city

Originally established as a pay-and-play facility in 1993, Leeds Golf Centre was acquired by The Parklane Group in February 2011 after falling into

receivership. £3million has since been invested to recreate and remodel the venue as the best all-round golf facility in Yorkshire and among the

most prominent in the UK.

The Parklane Group bought a 50% share in Broadley at the beginning of 2016 with the aim of growing their business.

After working together for 20 years on a number of projects including various Roomzzz and IconInc builds, investing in the company

seemed a natural progression which has helped alleviate the risks that come with contracting such work out to third-parties, giving us

Arguably, the story starts about a decade

THE ASCENT, LIVERPOOL

Our 114 beautifully designed apartments come in all shapes and sizes,

embracing the quirks and history of the beautiful and iconic Grade II listed

Manchester Corn Exchange. Along with spectacular ceiling heights, the focal

point is our striking staircase, surrounded by the original tiles, some of which

were cracked and damaged by the 1996 bombing – these remain untouched to

act as a reminder of the building’s heritage.

We commissioned colourful, quirky illustrations from celebrated artist, Katie

Edwards to educate our guests on Manchester’s culture, along with highlighting

our USP’s. Along with her artwork, we also introduced a gym and guest lounge.

To celebrate our first venture into a new city, we introduced a couple of new

Following the demand for The Edge, it

made perfect sense to open a second

development in Leeds. Offering 150

studio and one bedroom apartments,

we increased our communal spaces

Maxx store in Church Street, bringing

which will be located within the

£1billion Edinburgh St James

Our 75 apartments will take prime

position within the 1.7 million sq ft

development, which will become

Edinburgh’s most popular retail hub,

with a line-up of 86 new shops, 20

restaurants and a range of leisure

facilities over four floors.

Our striking £20million aparthotel will

feature a rooftop terrace and balconies

to every apartments to enable guests to

appreciate breath-taking views of the

city’s historical landscape.

An incredible riverside location

offering 97 exquisite suites and

apartments. The four-storey, £19million

development has begun construction,

due to open next year.

Works have begun to expand of our

current 14-bedroom townhouse into

a six-storey £12million development,

creating 74 extra apartments and also

introducing a communal lounge for

guests to enjoy.

Roomzzz will enter the London market with its new aparthotel in Stratford, offering

98 boutique apartments.

Stratford will be the birth of a new generation of aparthotels – one that focuses on

offering communal spaces which add value. Along with the guest lounge and gym

that we included in our latest opening, we will also offer a deli and coffee shop and

introduce our co-working space brand, workinc.

THE LIBRARY, LEEDS

We have applied for planning permission to turn the Grade II listed building on

Cardigan Road that was Burley Library into a co-working space, and to also build a

contemporary block of 60 co-living apartments behind it.

A growing demand exists for co-living amongst young professionals, and this

building is perfectly located to act as a natural extension of our proven IconInc

student accommodation brand, for those who are not yet ready to move on from the

freedoms and adventures of their student days.

This new venture will mix the old with the new as original features such as brick,

ironworks and windows from the library, which opened in 1926, will be retained and

even the old bookshelves will be re-used. This contrasts the modern features such as

brand new glazed winter garden balconies.

The opening of Roomzzz Stratford will be the birthplace for our new co-working space

brand, workinc.

The opportunity for networking within the vibrant communal environments, heralds

a new way of like-minded businesses to work together. It’s becoming increasingly

clear that shared work spaces are becoming the dominant choice for remote

workers, entrepreneurs and other professionals.

When you add in the all-inclusive fee structure and remove the high rents and long

leases, the cost of entry into any sector is dramatically reduced, which increases the

opportunity for motivated self-starters to begin to build their embryonic businesses.

Work has commenced on the £20million Lincoln development, home to 138 luxury

apartments. Situated in the very heart of the City Centre, just a ten-minute walk from

Lincoln University and Central Station, the site is currently home to a former school

building, St Martins Parish Hall and Stokes Warehouse. The development scheme

proposes to retain the three buildings present on site, securing their future in the

landscape whilst renovating them to allow them to be usable enjoyable spaces.

The family moved to the UK from

Malawi in 1976 and have always

wanted to help those who were less

fortunate and they’ve been able to

do this in several ways. From an eco

fish-farming project, to housing project

donations to providing several villages,

and thousands of people, with clean

drinking water. The Parklane Foundation

is passionate about creating a better life

for those living in poverty in Malawi.

MALAWI EDUCATION GIVE A GIFT

Working with universities and schools,

we help underprivileged students and

refugees through scholarship and

bursary programmes.

We also help individuals enjoy the

game of golf at a grass roots level by

providing free membership to the junior

teams at Leeds Golf Centre. Our PGA

professionals also deliver free lessons in

local schools.

We support Give A Gift, a concept that

works with local children’s charities such

as The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund at

Leeds General Infirmary, and the Martin’s

House Children’s Hospice.

In summer 2017, The Parklane Foundation became patrons of The Prince’s Trust.

We’re proud to support this charity and to help young people have a better start in life.

Over the years, the Parklane Foundation has grown and we’ve been very privileged to help those that are disadvantaged or less

fortunate than ourselves. We’re proud of how we’re able to provide some people with a means to improve their lives in some way.
