TSG Design Solutions, Inc., (TSG) is a professional theater design firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida, that provides realistic and thoughtful theatre and acoustic consulting services to a broad client base throughout the United States, Central and South America. Our portfolio holds a wide range of projects and includes: theatres, auditoriums; amphitheaters; commercial institutions; cruise ships; worship spaces; and educational facilities.

Consulting Services

Programming and Planning: The determination of adjacencies and spatial relationships to develop a performance space design that accommodates a specific building program that is useful to the artist and comfortable to the patron. Acoustics: The determination of construction techniques, room shaping criteria and surface treatment materials that will enhance the listening experience of performers and audience members throughout a wide variety of facility programming requirements. Systems Design: Design theatrical and studio lighting, stage rigging, curtains and draperies, performance audio, performance video, motorized orchestra pits, and portable acoustic shells. Construction Administration: Oversee those aspects of construction concerning our scope of work, answer questions and offer clarifications when necessary, and check out project upon completion.

Little Haiti Cultural Center, Miami, FL Architect: Zyscovich Architects

Completed: Cost: $7 million

Services: Acoustics, Theatre Consulting & System Design The Mission of the Little Haiti Cultural Center (LHCC) is to provide a space that brings together people and ideas to promote, showcase and support Afro-Caribbean culture in South Florida. The project campus includes the renovated Marketplace as well as a new community theatre and center for the arts.

Miami City Commission Chamber, Miami, FL Architect: RJ Heisenbottle Architects

Completed 2006 Cost: $3.75 million – Historic Renovation

Services: Studio Lighting Design, A/V System Design Although eight decades have passed since the original building stood as the seaplane terminal for Pan American Airlines, the renovated Miami City Hall maintains its splendor and retains its architectural style. The project received the 2008 Preservation Award from the Dade Heritage Trust.

7th Avenue Transit Center, Miami, FL Architect: Zyscovich Architects Completed: Under Construction

Cost: $5 million – theatre build-out Services: Acoustics, Theatre Consulting & System Design

Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs is providing funding for the development of a theater/cultural center as part of a mixed-use development on the NW 7th Avenue corridor. The 7th Avenue Transit Village project located in the heart of Liberty City, one of Miami-Dade’s oldest and most celebrated communities, will include a state of the art black box theatre..

The Colony Theatre, Miami Beach, FL Architect: R. J. Heisenbottle Architects

Completed: 2003 Cost: $6.5 Million – Historic Renovation

Services: Theatre Consulting & System Design This National Register of Historic Places, Art Deco style theater emerged from a $6.5 million restoration with a new, larger stage house, and state-of-the-art theatrical lighting, rigging and sound systems. At 440 seats it hosts a wide variety of programs, including music, dance, theater, opera, comedy, performance art and film.

Cost of Ship: $420 million Services: Performance Venue Audio

Operated by Carnival Cruise Lines, the Carnival Triumph cruise ship weighs in at 101,509 gross register tons, has a length of 893 feet, stands 13 decks high, holds a crew of 1,000+; and is capable of carrying more than 2,700 passengers. Known for its “Great Cities of the World” theme, TSG provided audio consulting services for the main showroom.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Jupiter, FL Architect: Currie Sowards Aguila Architects

Completed 2004 Cost: $3.25 million – renovation

Services: Theatre Consulting & Systems Design Built by actor Burt Reynolds in 1978, the renovated Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened on February 29, 2004. Equipped to support Equity LORT productions, and dedicated to presenting a wide range of programming to the Treasure Coast community, the 550 seat venue has received a myriad of awards, and has become a destination for adults and children alike.

The Wynmoor Community Theatre, Cocoanut Creek, FL Architect: R. J. Heisenbottle Architects

Completed 2003 Cost: $2.5 Million - renovation

Services: Acoustics, Theatre Consulting & System Design This Theatre was renovated and refurbished to lend the theatre an updated appearance. It gave the theatre a fresh new feel complemented by updated furnishings and theatrical/stage components. The Theatre consists of 962 seats and has a thrust stage which means that the view from any seat is unobstructed. Approximately 60 live shows are presented every year.

The Aventura Arts & Culteral Center, Aventura, FL Architect: PGAL Completed 2010 Cost: $10 million

Services: Stage Lighting and Stage Rigging System Design This performing arts center plays host to diverse performances, from plays to touring shows, comedians, and world renowned musicians. It is an elegant, 330 seat facility set amidst the spectacular waterfront in the heart of Aventura, Florida. It is also the home of South Florida’s Slow Burn Theatre Company.

Eaton Conservation Hall, Naples, FL Architect: L- Architecture LLC

Completed: 2014 Cost: $3 million

Services: Architectural and Theatre Lighting The Eaton Conservation Hall is the central part of the visitor experience at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. The lobby is intended to be the visual gateway to the rest of the buildings on the newly renovated campus. The area of the lobby behind the main wall will act as a transition area drawing visitors into the Smith Theatre, which has been designed to be home to many different types of events such as lectures, educational presentations, live animal displays, and banquets.

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics The Performing Cultural Arts Center is a 334 seat multi-purpose facility, with superb acoustics, capable of hosting a variety of events such as small theatrical performances, musical concerts and lectures. TSG Assisted with the renovation of the campus theatre by improving the acoustics and replacing the stage rigging system, the sound system, and the stage lighting system.

Ed Eissey Theatre, PB Gardens, FL Architect: Barretta & Associates, Inc.

Completed: 1989 Cost: $5.4 million

Services: Theatre Consulting & System Design

Located on the campus of Palm Beach College, the theatre hosts numerous community educational and family entertainment programs. It has a total 750-seats with 535-seats in the orchestra, and 215-seats in the balcony and comes equipped with a motorized orchestra pit, a full fly loft, stage rigging, stage lighting and audio systems.

South Florida Community College, Avon Park, FL Architect: Leo A. Daly Architects

Services: Theatre Consulting & System Design

The renovation included a raised fly loft, new sound, lighting and rigging systems, and an increased seating capacity from 1000 to 1400 seats. The center serves as home to: the Artist Series featuring acts ranging from the Orlando Philharmonic to the Smothers Brothers, the Matinee Series focusing on enriching the live of seniors, and a Jazz Series featuring local and national acts.

Designed to be a flexible, performing arts space, the Wynne Black Box Theatre offers a unique theatre experience including Broadway cabaret, dramas, comedy shows and dance. Offering state-of-the-art lighting, audio/video equipment, the theatre is equipped with a portable seating riser system which can be configured to fit its diverse performance criteria.

FAMU Charles Winter Wood Theatre, Tallahassee, FL Architect: CRA Architects


Services: Acoustics, Theatre Consulting & System Design The interior finishes were worn out, the theatre systems were obsolete, the catwalks were unnavigable, and the support spaces were no longer able to keep up with the growing fine arts curriculum. The room was completely reshaped, new catwalks were designed into the exiting maze of roof steel, new and larger support spaces were designed, and all the theatre systems were upgraded.

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design & Acoustics When classes began in the fall of 1970 at a small church in West Palm Beach, Florida, the student body was comprised of 196 students. Today, almost 3,000 alumni have earned diplomas from The King's Academy. When the fine arts theatre is complete it will have a full fly tower with a counterweight stage rigging system, performance sound and video system and an Ethernet-based stage lighting system with LED and programmable moving light fixtures.

The Benjamin School, Palm Beach Gardens, FL Architect: Tercilla Courtemanche Architects

Completed: Cost: $12 million

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics

Benjamin Hall will be the home of the performing arts program that includes a concert band, a chorus, and a drama and dance program. This 850 seat theatre will has a 3,200 square foot stage, a counterweighted stage rigging system and fly house, an orchestra pit, and state of the art stage lighting, sound and video systems.

Venice Performing Arts Center, Venice, FL Architect: Shenkel Shultz Architects


Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics This project brings a state of the art 1000 seat theatre with balcony to Florida’s west coast community. TSG Design Solutions, Inc. assisted with the design of the fully rigged fly tower and stage rigging system, portable orchestra acoustic shell, motorized orchestra pit lift, state of the art stage lighting system and Broadway style sound and video systems.





Gibbs H.S., St. Petersburg, FL Architect: Renker – Eich Parks Architects


Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics The Pinellas County Center for the Arts opened in 2005 to wide acclaim. Comprised of numerous practice rooms, recording studio, five theatres, an art department, music and dance studios, it’s clear that students have been given a gift for all seasons. Designed to encourage excellence, graduate student success includes: dance and theatre performances on Broadway; and music performances with national orchestras.

Miami Senior High School, Miami, FL Architect: Zyscovich Architects

Completed: 2014 Cost: $6.9 million – Historic Renovation

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics After a 2009 ground breaking ceremony, renovation of the oldest high school in Miami-Dade County was completed in 2014. In addition to a host of new classrooms, laboratories and a media center, the historic 1000 seat auditorium had undergone extensive renovation with new seating, stage curtains, lighting and audio systems, and a renovated counterweight stage rigging system.

The Bolles School, Jacksonville, FL Architect: Richard Skinner & Associates

Services: Theatre Consulting, Systems Design and Acoustics Completed in 2007, the Fine Arts Center is utilized by more than 80% of students presenting approximately 100 performances annually. Recently awarded the Excellence in Construction Eagle award by the First Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, TSG assisted architect, Dana B. Kenyon Company with the theatre design, acoustics, stage rigging, lighting, audio/video and the portable acoustics shell design.





Proctor Auditorium, Utica, NY Architect: Stieglitz Snyder Architecture

Completed: 2013 Cost: $6 miilion

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics The auditorium at Proctor High School first opened its doors in 1939 for students to enjoy the arts. But over the years equipment went out of date and the theatre fell in need of repairs. The seventy-five year old theatre was completely gutted and renovated with new theatre systems. After having been closed for so long, the new auditorium hosted its first high school concert in March, 2013 followed by a Drama Club production.

International School of Panama, Panama City, Panama Architect: Mallol & Mallol Arquitectos SA

Services: Theatre Design, Stage Rigging and Stage Lighting Systems The International School of Panama has grown since its founding in 1982 into a nationally and internationally recognized educational institution with a proud reputation. ISP proudly hosts students from over 50 nations from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. This new 500 seat fine arts center will offer the community a center to gather and explore the richness of the arts being created by the students, faculty and families involved.

American Heritage Academy, Plantation, FL Architect: Nagler + Renager Architects


Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics This fine arts complex is a private teaching facility with the unique ability to accommodate the technical requirements of a Broadway touring production. The performance and arts spaces throughout the facility include a 750-seat theatre, a black box theatre, music suites, drama studios, classrooms, and art gallery.

Services: Lighting, Sound and Video Design Services This is a premiere public school with an arts-based curriculum in the state of Delaware. It was founded in 1992 by a group of parents seeking quality education in a motivating environment. Named after the American jazz icon, Cab Calloway, this school provides both academic and arts education for students in grades 6-12. The grand opening on October 9, 2014 was a huge success with a "Hard Hat Performance" featuring world-renowned child prodigy Ethan Bortnick and an opening act of Cab Calloway Musicians.

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics This 22,000 SF performing arts academy addition to Boynton Beach High School includes the latest in technology for drama, dance, vocal, and band programs. The addition provides a black box theatre; two dance classrooms; a costume shop; and a vocal music suite that includes practice rooms, ensemble rooms, and a recording studio.

Glades Central H.S., Belle Glade, FL

Services: Theatre Consulting, System Design and Acoustics Glades Central Community High School in Belle Glade, Florida serves and accommodates both the local student population and the community. The 850-seat theatre has a full stage working gridiron, a computerized stage lighting system, and an orchestra pit with portable removable cover.

The five million dollar project has become the crowning jewel in the Florida motion picture industry joining the already existing 93,000 sq. ft. movie production complex on this unique charter high school campus.

Services: Acoustics, Theatre & Systems Design Part of the Old School Square, this beautiful outdoor venue fits nicely into this vibrant downtown Delray Beach Cultural Center. Services: Acoustics, Theatre & Systems Design When Willie Nelson and British rock band “YES” come to town the adrenalin flows. Located at South County Regional Park, this 5,000 seat outdoor performance space forms part of a lush tropical landscape. At 9,000+ sq. ft. with a 1,700 sq. ft. stage the facility boasts an excellent sound and lighting design system, backstage support spaces and a production office.

Services: Site Audio & Lighting Design Offering a wide variety of activities, concerts, and special events, Veteran’s Park is an addition to the 6-acre recreational hub in the city of Royal Palm Beach. Boasting two amphitheatres, walking paths, waterfalls, picnic areas, it is a popular community gathering site for all ages.

North Shore Band Shell, Miami Beach FL Architect: BEA Architects


Services: Audio & Lighting Design After 9 months of construction, the City of Miami Beach Capital Improvement Projects and Parks & Recreation Departments was thrilled to announce the opening of the North Shore Park Band Shell. This facility is a centerpiece of North Beach, and certainly serves as an economic driver by attracting residents and visitors to enjoy spectacular performances and movies while giving the local businesses the opportunity to draw in crowds afterward.

Wayside Baptist Church, Miami, FL Completed: 1995

Choral Riser Design

In 1992 Hurricane Andrew rolled across South Miami leaving massive devastation in its wake. Wayside Baptist Church was not spared. The high winds lifted the roof enough to blow in the eastern wall of the sanctuary. TSG Design Solutions, Inc. assisted the architect with restoring the church by designing the room acoustics, audio/video system, stage lighting, and choral riser.

First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, Lake Wales, Florida

Architect: Parlier Architects Completed: 2008 Cost: $5.5 million

Services: Acoustics, Audio/Video and Stage Lighting With nearly $3 million in donations this project was completed and dedicated in 2008. TSG Design Solutions, Inc. assisted the architect with acoustics, audio/video design, and stage and architectural lighting design.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Boca Raton, Florida

Architect: Colome Associates, AIA Completed: 2010 Cost: $4 million

Services: Acoustics, Audio/Video System and Lighting Located in Boca Raton, Florida St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church has state of the art lighting and sound systems. TSG Design Solutions, Inc. also assisted the architect with room acoustics with noise isolation.

Temple Beth AM- Jupiter, Florida Architect: Sterges & Associates, AIA

Completed: 2005 Services: Lighting, Sound and Video Design Services

Established in 1982, Temple Beth Am is a reform synagogue located in Jupiter, Florida. Temple Beth Am is the religious home for over 420 North Palm Beach County residents. The temple programs national speakers, songwriters, and educators Throughout the year and coordinates with Florida Atlantic University’s Life Long Learning Center, another TSG project, to support continuing education for the entire community.
