• Classic zombie – dead, but not any more…causes unknown (e.g. Night of the Living Dead)

• Apocalyptic zombie – aggressive and hungry (e.g. Walking Dead)

• Viral zombie – born from virus spread through air, water, etc. Also spread through direct zombie contact (e.g. 28 Days Later, Black Sheep *not the Chris Farley version)

What Your Facility Should Have

• Heavy, solid doors to the outside• Sturdy windows

– First floor and basement windows should be lockable.

• Perimeter potential– What can be used to create an intermediate

barrier?

Facility on Lock-Down Procedures

• No loud noises– Keep talking, singing, and other joyful noises to a

minimum – Generators can only be run deep within your facility

(don’t forget to ventilate)• Lights draw attention

– Includes flashlights, candles, strobe lights, and glow sticks

– Windows at night must be in black-out mode• Have a safe-room

– Have canned/freeze-dried foods that don’t need to be cooked– Marshmallows never go bad

• Entertainment– Boredom can kill you also– Movie watching will turn your brain to mush – less desirable for

zombies to eat• Water purification system• Batteries*Be prepared for 40 days – if zombie apocalypse lasts much

longer than that, you’re probably dead anyway

How to Kill a Zombie• You must destroy the brain• Possible Methods:

– Blunt object to the head• Chair leg, tire iron, wrench• This method offers unlimited killing capacity• Note: sports equipment is highly successful (baseball bat, hockey stick,

golf club, etc)– Shoot it in the head

• Note: gun rounds are limited…develop an arsenal quickly and use sparingly
