Merino is a warm and buoyant fiber that takes dyes beautifully; camel is a super soft fiber that, because of its short staple length, adds a lovely halo. The Merino component is dyed before it is spun with the undyed camel hair. The blend of dyed and undyed fibers makes soft, muted colors. Kumara’s six twisted plies yield great stitch definition.

Kumara is a blend of extrafine Merino and baby camel hair.

From the Designer

As Education Coordinator for Kirkwood Knittery, and past VP for Education of the Greater St. Louis Knitters’ Guild, Robyn M. Schrager believes that any knitter or crocheter will manage to acquire the skills needed to tackle any design they truly want to create. If the project turns out to look more complex than the actual process, with a pattern written as an educational guide, so much the better.

Diamonds Are Forever is the perfect beginner lace project. It gives the new knitter experience in both right- and left-leaning decreases, as well as with yarn over outlines. Many knitters have worked the Large Diamond section as their first dishcloth project; This scarf shows that with just a slight difference you can be happily knitting lace successfully - no purling required.

CEY’s Soft Linen is the perfect combination of warmth, softness, body and drape, with the bonus of blocking beautifully. The variety of colors available in this 2-skein project make it a perfect gift choice for those special people on your list, or indulge yourself by adding it to your own wardrobe.
