Post Production Workflow with Tim Grey

We can’t wait for August as we have something

special lined up for our WPPA membership on the

27th. We have been able to arrange a very special

speaker who is in the top of the photographic field

when it comes to post production workflow. Our

of the top educators in digital photography and

imaging, offering clear guidance on complex sub-

jects through his writing and speaking. He is an

expert in Lightroom, Photoshop and many other

kinds of imaging software. His focus at our

meeting will be on Adobe Lightroom.

Lightroom provides a variety of tools that

enable you to keep your photos organized, but

truly having the confidence that you’ll be able

to find a particular photo when you need it

involves more than just good tools. In this

informative and entertaining presentation,

Tim Grey will show you how to properly get

Lightroom configured in the first place, how

to create an efficient image-management

workflow, and how to make decisions about

the various options available to you. In short,

if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed when it

comes to image management, you won’t want

WPPA NEWSLETTER P AGE 2

President’s Message

Hello all:

CONGRATS to all 9 image makers of 33 choices at our 2nd Image Comp, especially to the ribbon-

winners - Bob, Eric, Mark, and June. See them in this Newsletter. What a plethora of colors and moods to en-

thrall us. It was quite a show of professionalism in our membership, and all enjoyed the view. And thanks to

Paul Bernstein and Diane Bollen for judging - what a challenge to reward ribbons to the better of them all.

There were bargains to be had at our 2nd Swap&Shop - the sellers made a bundle, and got rid of excess

STUFF! AND the buyers acquired STUFF for less than retail.

NOW find a friend that doesn’t know we exist, and invite them to a meeting. YOU GET 5 NICAS-

TRO POINTS when you convince them to join WPPA. Since Aspiring membership has been reinstated, a pro-

spective member can join us for a pittance (Section Dues) for the first year, so GO GET 'EM, to join WPPA.

YOU HAVE TO BE HERE if you wish to talk (and listen) to other photogs telling of their experiences

in photography, both GOOD and BAD. You can learn a lot, but to hear, you have to BE HERE. Isn’t that

what it’s all about???

THERE IS NO JULY GENERAL MEETING!!! It is always replaced by the State School, which is

July 21-26 at William Hobart College in Geneva, NY. A great educational bargain - five teachers to choose

from.

Sincerely, Frank
