What Did These Artist Face During Their Photography Careers?

Matthew Brady

The major historical event that Matthew Brady faced during his career as a photographer was the American Civil War. This was the war in the United States between the North and the South. 1861-1865. Brady witnessed brutal things and showed them through his photos.

Richard AvedonRichard Avedon was inspired by his parents clothing business, as a boy he took great interest in fashion, especially enjoying photographing the clothes in his father’s store. He shot photos for Harpers, Bazaar, and Vogue Magazine.
