We are Hindustan Inks & Resins Ltd. (HIRL).
A part of the US $250 million Bilakhia Group,
which has diverse interests in Printing Inks,
Resins, Flushed Pigments and Crop Protection
chemicals.
Incorporated as a company in the year 1991,
HIRL has achieved leadership status in a very
short span of time. Today, we are the largest
manufacturer of printing inks
in India with multi-locational
plants. The creator of a mega
single-stream plant for
'seamless' manufacture of
inks. We have implemented
SAP R3 Solutions to optimise
Systems in all areas of operation and market
information. Recently we have invested over US$
30 million in the creation of world size
capacities for Printing Inks, Resins, Flushed
colors and Alkali Blue in India.
With our technological strengths, we aim to
become a global player in the inks and its
ingredients industry.
HIRL recently established Micro Inks
Corporation, a company in Chicago, USA,
where it manufactures a variety of inks to
cater to the large US market. This venture has
proved hugely successful with the company
making decisive strides and is all set to be
amongst the top five players in the US ink
industry soon.
At HIRL, our quest is total
customer satisfaction. We
therefore, are looking
for ways and means to
delight our customers.
Our extensive research and the foresight to
match every possible printing need, has
resulted in a wide product range. But this is
not all. To meet every demand of a valued
and discerning customer like you,
we promise to continue enhancing
this range.
As an ink company, the relationship we share
with words and visuals is very special.
They are the ambassadors of our sentiments and imagination.
On the succeeding pages we unveil before you a captivating
collection of fine inks.
Their splendour multiplied manifold by an exciting blend
of words and visuals.
The words will reveal our heart.
The visuals our soul.
Our world class range of premium inks are a result of our
company's backward integration into flushed pigments and resins.
That has led to total control over the quality of raw materials,
which go a far way in producing inks par excellence.
These versatile inks have intrinsic qualities like high-gloss, fast setting
and better dot gain, and can be used on a variety of substrates.
Better reproduction and trouble free performance while printing
is thus achieved.
We are sure, you would like to sample our choicest of inks for a
satisfying printing experience.
At the core of our enterprise resides a power.

Vegetable oil based, eco-friendly inks
Life on earth is in danger of extinction. We value it. Our commitment to a better environment has
inspired us to design a process color set, based on vegetable oils, which fulfils the ecological demands
of a globe faced with a depleting ozone layer. A small but vital contribution to preserve Mother Earth for
future generations.
MICRO ECO process colors are environment friendly inks using vegetable oils (renewable sources)
instead of mineral oil (petroleum based which are non-renewable).

Heatset Inks
Our Heatset inks are available in different tack values
and can be used for all type of paper stocks such as
GNP, SNP, LWC, SUPER CALENDER & MWC
art paper.
These inks are based on high molecular weight,
structured phenolic resin base vehicle, which impart
excellent roller stability but fastest drying properties.
They are best known for their gloss and gloss
retention with good rub resistance properties.
The Heatset color inks are produced from specially
customized flushes which offer brighter hues and
excellent transparency. Our black ink imparts
enhanced jetness to the black, since they are enriched
with Alkali Blue pigments which are produced
in-house.
They are versatile and are compatible with both
Alcohol based & Alcohol free dampening system.

IMPORTANT : It is always advisable to test run the substrate before commercial run.
UV Offset Inks for Paper & Board
UV Offset Inks for Plastics
UV Overprint Coatings
These UV inks have been designed for good rheology combined with excellent ink-water characteristics and offer
instant cure and good wet-on-dry color trapping. They have moderate gloss but good rub resistance properties.
They are recommended for packaging and commercial printing for faster deliveries.
These inks have good adhesion on pre-treated polyolefins and can be used for pre-treated polycoated stocks.
These UV inks are offered in two types, for laminated and non-laminated plastic surface and are most suitable for
PVC, Vinyl, Polystyrene, Acrylics, Polycarbonates and high impact Polystyrene. They have very good adhesion
and abrasion resistance with good gloss & lithographic properties.
These inks are also suitable for Dry Offset printing for above mentioned plastic substrates.
HIRL offers a range of UV Coatings, based on Radiation Curable Acrylic Oligomers and Monomers which cure
instantly with application of the required degree of energy. They contain almost 100% non-volatile material and
are thus VOC free.
These UV coatings offer excellent gloss, drying speed, press stability and resistance to water, alkali, heat,
oil & greases.
They find applications for high gloss lacquering of coated paper & board, all types of labels, wrappers, book
jackets, folding cartons etc. Above all, the UV coatings increase the aesthetic value of the print.
Radiation Curing Inks
