An interesting tale about this set. Josh Marshall, who happens to be the son-in-law of Steve and Mary Ellen Sherer, owns a tackle business called “Marshall Custom Tackle” and Josh features hand-made, hand –painted fishing lures of all kinds. The Muskie lures are his specialty. In this set, the 10 pins are pictures of his actual lures. The AM Tiger is named for Steve and Mary Ellen’s daughter, Alison. The fun part of the story is the lure business is a part time one and pays for the fishing hobby Josh pursues. And, as the saying goes, you now have the other side of the story about this set.

Bob Walker (SC) Santa Catches the Big One
A Large Mouth Bass
At first glance, you might think the two pins to the left are identical. I certainly did when PDG Bob Walker sent them to me and I inserted the one on the left in the Sep 2018 Update. Knowing Bob is aware that I also collect Santa pins, I just assumed he had sent me an extra one for that collection. However, if you look closely, and if you are a good fisherman, you will notice that the one on the left, Santa is pulling up a Muskie fish while the one on the right he is pulling up a Large Mouth Bass. I have pulled the Muskie fish pin from page WW-9 in the September update so you can see the difference, if you haven’t already done so.
