The Woman’s Club o f Allwood is
a member of the New Jersey State
Federation of Women’s Clubs
(NJSFWC) and the General
Federation of Women’s Clubs
(GFWC), the oldest and largest
women’s volunteer, service
organization in the world. The
NJSFWC, founded in 1894, has
over 9,000 members in 203 clubs
throughout the State. In 1918, the
NJSFWC founded the New Jersey
College for Women in 1918 (now
Douglass Residential College).
MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO WOMEN IN THE CLIFTON AREA WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AND ARE WILLING TO SUPPORT THE GOALS AND PURPOSES OF THE WOMAN’S CLUB OF ALLWOOD.

The Allwood Branch of the Clifton Public Library was founded in 1970 as a result of the efforts by the Woman’s Club of Allwood. In 2012, the Allwood Branch celebrated its 40th anniversary while the Woman’s Club of Allwood celebrated its 80th.

The Clifton High School Scholarships reinforce the commitment of the Woman’s Club of Allwood to assist young women in furthering their education on the way to becoming future leaders in the community.
