20 Years of WolfIt was a year to celebrate and celebrate we did! Starting in September with a school-wide 20th Birthday Party, the students wrote and shared their birthday wishes for Wolf! From Founders’ Day to Grandparents’ Day to our 8th grade Graduation, the festivities continued all year long! We commemorated 20 years with joy and

appreciation, and a lot of cake! It was a sweet year, indeed!

Wolf by the Numbers

5 New Founders’ Day AwardsOur Founders’ Day tradition began 10 years ago to honor Andy Wallerstein & Mary Sloane, Rosaline Granoff, Lise Faulise and Maureen Kelly for their hard work and leap of faith in designing and opening the Wolf School in 1999. To celebrate our 20th, we recognized five community members instrumental in those early years whose guidance and support made all the difference. Our special 20th Year Community Founders’ Day Awards went to Mark Pelson & Katherine Harrison Pelson, Jessica Robins Miller, Jeanette Epstein and Jon Green.

27 Corporate Sponsors2019 saw a jam packed Discover the Difference gala, showcasing more corporate sponsorships than ever! With an anonymous match for our Scholarship Auction and a special Platinum Sponsorship from Canton Hathaway LLC/ Malcolm G. Chace, Jr., you contributed a record breaking $87,000 for financial aid in addition to our event revenue of $107,455. You made this 20th Birthday Bash an extraordinary evening!

1 New Fall FestivalWolf parents are amazing and this year they initiated a new Fall Festival that was non-stop fun for families and staff. From cotton candy to pumpkin bowling, the festival started the year off by creating connection and joy for our students and families. And perhaps the most fun of all was watching students line up for the chance to dunk their Head of School into the ball pit! Lucky for

Anna, it wasn’t water!

2 Sixth Grade Classrooms

This year there was a significant increase in Middle School inquiries and we responded. Hiring additional staff members and adjusting our space allowed us to open an additional sixth grade classroom, expanding the Middle School and increasing total overall enrollment for the school to 65 students – our largest number to date. Look out for the Class of 2021 – you’ll see a bigger and bolder group of Wolf graduates!

Wolf Spotlight on DonorsThe Daniel MacDonald Scholarship FundJohn and Dawn MacDonald are so proud of their son, Daniel. He came to Wolf in sixth grade and worked hard to improve his academics and speech. Daniel thrived at Wolf, becoming a quiet leader in the classroom, supporting his friends and showing respect and kindness to everyone. He demonstrated great perseverance and determination with his studies, and at graduation, he delivered a speech about his educational journey with confidence and poise.

To recognize their son and the importance of The Wolf School in his life, Johnand Dawn created The Daniel MacDonald Scholarship Fund to provide supportto a Rhode Island family in need. We are incredibly grateful for the MacDonald’s generosity and foresight. This fund will support students for years to come and is an incredible testament to the way our families give back to Wolf in important and meaningful ways.

Other donors may contribute to the Fund at any time. If you are interested in making a gift to the Daniel MacDonald Scholarship Fund, or would like to discuss ways to establish a named fund at The Wolf School, contact Marie Esposito, Director of Institutional Advancement, at [email protected].
