On Wednesday some of our KS3 students visited Donna Nook to look and learn about the seals.

Although it was cold there were plenty of pups to look at, some very new and it was ‘a bit bloody’.

Pauline Wozencroft (Wozie) from St Lawrence organised a sponsored bike ride in aid of The Butterfly Hos-pice, Boston and Lincs. branch of MacMillan Cancer Support. With colleagues and friends Kay, Kim and Claire, all of whom have unfortunately had need of these deserving charities; they cycled 18 miles along the Spa Trail raising a total of £360. Fantastic!

Children In Need Fun

Fun was had by both schools last Friday for Children In Need.

Cake Sales, non uniform and games galore helped raise money for the cause and the bike-a-thon at Louth helped raise awareness of LWF; you may have heard us on BBC Ra-dio Lincolnshire on Friday morning or seen us in the pa-pers this week.

“The Sandringham Suite” for £250 over the summer. Hunter, has been accompanying Rick and his dad on Rick’s nation-al tour and has been improving his life skills by helping on Rick’s merchandise stall.

Rick Wakeman, of Prog-Rock fame donated a rare CD to St Lawrence School. The album was recorded especially for The Queen with 4 extra copies being made to do-nate to good causes. Rick’s business partner, a parent at the school who organised the donation, also put a “mega-fan” in touch with the school to organise the purchase of the CD Chris from Stockholm in Sweden, bought the ultra-rare CD called

In total LWF will be giving Children In Need £225.33.

Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit* and have an annual household income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190 (as at April 2012)

Universal Credit

Twice a year we send out a form to parents and the information from this is used to check if you are eligible. Doing this could save you approx. £450 spent on packed lunches each year and also release extra funds for school.
