The Show Hall is situated off Junction 45, M4. Follow the signs for Morriston. Turn right onto Chemical Road, just before Lidl Super-market. Travel several hundred yards uphill and turn right just before a row of terraced houses, on your right.

All Exhibitors and Visitors To Note

In light of the fear of bird flu and the threat of the Budgerigar virus the Committee of the Welsh Budgerigar Society have agreed to totally adopt the rules, directives and guidelines set out by the Budgerigar Society and the requirements placed on it by DEFRA. Most of the requirements are matters which will be handled by our appointed Bio Security Officer, Dominic Avo BEM. However, ALL Exhibitors and Visitors are required to take the following minimum actions set out below and are also required to comply with all Bio Security matters as directed by the Bio Security Officer or Officials acting on his behalf.

EXHIBITORS

• By entering your birds into to the show you are agreeing to be bound by the rules and directives of both the Budgerigar Society and the Welsh BS. (copies of which can be read on application to the show manager)

• All birds must be exhibited in CLEAN ‘new style’ show cages.

• No show covers or carrying boxes will be allowed into the show hall at any time.

• On checking birds in, the bottom of the cages must be wiped across the disinfected mat.

EXHIBITORS and VISITORS

• Must only enter or exit the show hall through the approved points, across the disinfected and dust control mats. Care should be taken at these points to avoid any chance of slipping.

• No exhibit may be removed from the staging, except with permission of the show manager.

• No unauthorised use of judging sticks or like instruments.

• Photographs of the birds may only be taken through the cage fronts.

• No bird may be sold, given, exchanged or other wise change hands within the vicinity of the show hall.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THESE DIRECTIONS ARE THERE TO PROTECT YOU, YOUR BIRDS AND THE BIRD FANCY IN GENERAL

Postal entries should have a SSAE enclosed

Countrywide Seeds have kindly donated a bag of seed to this show.

That seed will be awarded to the exhibitor who BENCHES THE MOST EXHIBITS.

In the event of a tie, a draw will take place, between those parties, to decide who receives the seed.

The Committee’s decision is final.

Birds must be benched between 8.30am and 9.45am on Saturday morning only. No late arrivals as judging

commences at 10am.
