Outrigger Canoe Club
Welcome!
O ke aloha ke kuleana o kahi malihini
(Love is the host in strange lands.)
In old Hawai’i, every passerby was greeted and offered food
whether he was an acquaintance or a total stranger.
In our hectic, impersonal world there still exists an oasis of aloha –
The Outrigger Canoe Club.
The Outrigger Canoe Club is located on the Pacific Ocean below the slopes of Diamond
Head, near Waikiki Beach. The Club has provided a haven for the sports of old Hawai'i
and today nurtures modern athletic ventures as well.
The Club's location and architectural design provide the perfect venue for casual or
elegant dining, fellowship and aloha.
“A building that is not a building as such, but rather a series of congenial spaces flowing
indoors and outdoors and moving up and down with varying floor levels and ceiling
heights. As it moves toward the ocean it becomes part of the beach itself- still pleasantly
resisting confinement.”
The Architecture of Honolulu
The Outrigger Canoe Club is located on a white sand beach that offers facilities for members interested in active or passive outdoor activities.

Plans include such intricate details as recreations of original tasseled umbrellas, poolside lounge chairs, and redwood deck throughout The building would return to its original color scheme, two tones of color and white.

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club offers its guests three dining options. Casual, convenient dining in the Club Dining Room, steak and seafood cuisine in a family-friendly oceanfront restaurant at The Shores Restaurant, and award-winning cuisine in the world-renowned Marine Room Restaurant.
La Jolla Beach and Tennis ClubRecreation
Tennis: Since 1935, a virtual who's who of tennis stars have served and volleyed their way to greatness on its courts since F.W. Kellogg first strung nets and invited guests to play on four newly constructed courts.
The Club's reputation as a tennis-place-to-go was not long in coming. By 1942, the Club had attracted its first major tournament -- the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championships -- and, by the 1950s, had become a prominent stop on the tournament circuit, playing host to numerous USLTA National Hard Court Tennis Championships. Today, the Club hosts five national USTA tournaments annually.
Golf: Golfers can test their short game ability on the nine-hole, par-3, Spindrift Golf Course. The course drapes around the Club’s pond, as well as defining the north and east perimeters of La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. A practice putting green, chipping area, and driving net accompany the golf course to further allow you to sharpen your golf skills. Spindrift is well suited to challenge a veteran golfer or to entertain the novice family. No matter your ability, there is a great time to be had on the golf course.

The Beach at Mandalay Bay
Voted by Trip Advisor as one of the best Pools in the U.S. in 2006
Mandalay Bay's 11-acre tropical Sand-and-Surf Beach will have you believing that you're in the
Caribbean.
Open only to guests, this gigantic tropical playground offers three pools, several whirlpools, a Lazy
River ride, and a full sand beach fronting a huge Wave Pool.
The beach is also home to the Beach Concert Series. With a stage extending out into the wave pool,
guests can choose to watch from the water, or bring a blanket and sit on the sandy beach.
It's the best place to watch a concert in the summer.
A more traditional pool setting is available as well.
