Senator Kemp Hannon is regarded nationally as an expert in the health care industry.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo named Senator Hannon as a key member of his Medicaid Redesign Team which success-fully implemented many reforms to curb fraud and abuse.

Among is many accomplishments Senator Hannon has cham-pioned the landmark “I-STOP” law to track how prescription drugs are distributed and monitored to help prevent deaths from abuse and overdoses and continues to be committed to supporting legislation in the areas of long term care, health insurance and organ donation.

Senator Hannon is Special Counsel to the law firm Farrell Fritz P.C. in Nassau County and is active in community and civic af-fairs. He resides in Garden City with his wife.
