To reveal the water governance system along the Than Lwin River basin especially in Wan Sala village
To access the livelihood of people in Wan Sala village those are depending on water resources
To examine the role of local people especially women and ethnic minorities on the proposed Mong Ton dam project

How do people along the Salween River mange water at the community level?
What are the livelihood of people in Wan Sala village? How do they utilize and mange water and natural resources?
What are the roles of local communities especially women and ethnic groups on the proposed Mong Ton dam project? What are their concerns and voices towards the project?

The utilization of water and management at the household level by both men and women
Water management for the agriculture purpose
The case study of one men and women (about their livelihood depending on water and natural resources)
The lists of consultation meetings and places
The response of the people at the consultation meetings
The concerns and the voices of the people (potential affected communities)

Methodology
Villages: Wan Sala village, Mong Ton township.
Sample interviewees:
Wan Sala villagers. 5 people. Both women and man. Will include all kinds of ethnic groups.
The people who attended consultation meetings conducted by SMEC company (5) people from Mong Ton, Taunggyi, Leng Khur and Kun Heng.
