You will need: *A 4WD (some of theaccess tracks can be very soft, we will pull anyone through that getsstuck but this trip would probably not be suitable for an SUV relyingexclusively on traction control) *A beach access permit (we will buythis at Tewantin on the day), its only around $16 for theday. *Swimmers and sun protection etc. *Seats *Some change for a BBQ(sausage sizzle $2, drinks $1 all proceeds going to charity) We willmeet at the Bribie Island interchange McDonalds carpark the same aslast time at 9am for a 9:30am depart. 99 Lear Jet Dr, Caboolture QLD4510 We will drive north to the ferry at Tewantin (about 90min drive).Anyone north can meet us directly at the Noosa North Shore ferry ataround 10am. Moorindil Street, Tewantin, QLD 4656. From Tewantin wetake a car ferry across the river and access the beach from there. Itsa good decent drive north along the beach with lots to see. We willstop at the rainbow sands where theres an "energetic" climb up the sandhill to a fantastic view of the beach and ocean for those willing. Thenwe head further north and cross the point bypass track to the otherside of the point where we will set up shelters and the BBQ and stopfor a beach swim and lunch. Definitely bring your swimmers and towelsbecause the water is very nice here, its sheltered by the point andquite shallow so suitable for all ages and abilities. Once finishedthere we will cross back to the other side of the point and take theFreshwater track back to rainbow beach ending the beach driving. Thereis an underbody carwash in Rainbow beach that we will go to to cleanthe cars and inflate our tyres, before returning home via the highway.As with our last beach trip we will offer advice and assistance toanyone that hasn't driven on the beach before. Anyone that gets stuckwill be towed through if required. This event is open to anyone thatwould like to come. If you don't have a suitable vehicle simply ask andthere may be seats in other cars willing to offer you a ride.
