Why should we care?

People were tragically killed. The school now has a history, and not a good one. It could influence kids who were thinking about going to Virginia Tech. It should always be remembered. People’s kids, friends, cousins, roommates, and grandkids were murdered because of one kids mental condition.

When did it happen?

It happened on April 16th, 2007. 2007 wasn’t much different than how it is now. It was only 4 years ago. We would have been in 7th grade.

Seung-Hui Cho was the killer.

32 students were killed and many more were wounded

What happened?

Cho, was previously diagnosed with a sever anxiety disorder before going to college. During middle school and high school, he received therapy and special education support. When Cho got accepted to college, they were not informed of his mental condition. In 2005, he was accused of stalking two girls. After an investigation, a Virginia special justice declared Cho mentally ill and order him to get treatment. This set him off and that’s when the shooting took place. But he had a plan.

conclusion

Cho made two separate attacks, about two hours apart. He later committed suicide that day. He killed 33 people and wounded many others. Plus, mentally scared the other students who witnessed it. He was mentally ill and never got help or therapy. So, one day changed many lives…for good.
