Cast Biographies

Riley Devick (Horse/Fairy) attends Centennial High School and lives with her parents, two siblings, and her dog in Ankeny. She has appeared on stage at Des Moines Young Artists Theater (The Hobbit and James and the Giant Peach) and ACT (The Middle of Y esterday and The Little Princess). Riley enjoys photography and participates in speech competitions.

Deb Ivis (Narrator) is a nurse at Mercy Ambulatory Surgery. She enjoys traveling (she and her husband Dan are going to Hawaii in January!) and watching ISU and Iowa basketball and March Madness. Deb appeared in Fiddler on the Roof many years ago at Urbandale Community Theatre and in The Delightful Quarantine at ACT. Deb lives in Urbandale.

Hank Jones (Boy) is no stranger to the stage. He has appeared in Annie Jr and Seussical Jr at Class Act Productions. He attends Southeast Polk Spring Creek Elementary School where he plays percussion in the band. Hank lives with his mom, Carrie, dad, Garth, and siblings Louis and Eily in Altoona. He enjoys drawing, creating art, and making up plays.

Alison Keeler (Toy Boat/Bunny 1), a sixth-grader at Bondurant-Farrar Middle School, has theatre experience at ACT and Class Act Productions in Altoona, where she will appear next in The Sound of Music at CAP. She lives with her parents and her dog, Kimi, and her cat, Ozzie, in Bondurant. Alison enjoys singing, drawing, and writing.

Madison Price (Mechanical Toy/Bunny 2) last appeared on the ACT stage in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She has participated in camps at ACT and the Des Moines Playhouse. Madison lives in Ankeny where she attends Prairie Ridge Middle School. She enjoys volleyball, rock climbing, hiking, racquetball, and singing. She also serves on the Iowa National Guard Teen Panel.

Greg Romans (Uncle/Doctor) first appeared on the ACT stage last fall as the Vice Principal Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. When not on stage, Greg is a web developer at Broker Dealer Financial Services and resides in Ankeny with his wife, Amber, and two sons, Jon & Nick. Greg does video production at Hope Church and likes to do improv and stand up.

Anna Sunstrom (Aunt/Nana) played LeAnna in The Middle of Yesterday at ACT last summer and has appeared in many shows at Newton Community Theatre and with ISE in Des Moines. She lives in Des Moines and works as the Volunteer Outreach Manager at Everybody Wins! Iowa. Anna enjoys reading, dance, and theater in her spare time. She thanks her friends and family for their support.

Whitney Welp (Rabbit) is appearing in her second show at ACT, the first being Paula in The Delightful Quarantine. She is employed at the VA Hospital as a speech therapist and lives with her husband, Matt, and her cat, Rosie, in Waukee. Whitney wants to share a big “thank you” to the director and the ACT community for this opportunity and her family, especially Matt, for their support!

Cheryl Clark (Director) has a var iety of theatre experiences, including acting, directing, and costume design at ACT, Tallgrass, Des Moines Playhouse, and in Iowa Falls over the past 45 years. She is a previous ACT board member and past president and currently serves on the Iowa Community Theatre Association Board. Cheryl lives in Des Moines with her husband, Max, and has three daughters and four grandchildren. She is employed as a Family Life Specialist for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

Alfred Witte (Assistant Director) par ticipated at the Des Moines Playhouse in Y ou Can’t Take It With You and has found his place as assistant director and set builder at ACT. This is his first show as technician for lights and sound. Al is employed by MidAmerican Energy Company and lives in Ankeny. He would like to thank his family and friends for encouraging him to participate in theatre. Biking, cooking, and playing cards are a few of Al’s hobbies outside of theatre.

HONK! AUDITIONS March 17 and 18

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and

point this out. The little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique

characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be.
