EXPERIENCE THE HISTORY At the Four Points by Sheraton Sihlcity Zurich one is automatically o hotel

guest and o contemporary witness at the some time. Numerous elements of

industrial architecture remind us of the ploce1s rich history: The stable con

struct of concrete providing safe storage for the heavy rolls of paper. The

massive, white pointed, distinct mushroom columns in the lobby and the small

windows that prevented o fading of the photo-sensitive valuable material

ensure o cosy ambiance. More than 150 years ago the paper factory was

established by industrialists and bonkers from lime-honored families in Zurich.

In 19 31 the factory was quite heavily affected by the world economic crisis

and only survived due to its solid financial basis. The next recession come

around: short-time work was implemented and many machines were shutted

down. The only thing that kept on running until1 990 was the cutting, sheeting

and packaging deportment. The Four Points by Sheraton Sihlcity Zurich Hotel

opened its doors in 2007. Did you know that our Restaurant Rompe Sud and

lobby was that port of the mill where the paper was formerly stored? The hotel

impressively connects the post and future with its innovative infotainment

system and its interior design. The rooms ore functional, elegant and modern,

not leaving anything to be desired. The bar and lounge as well as various

rooms ore situated in the new port of the building, which is somewhat of o

contradiction. Nevertheless, the combination of industrial architecture and its

new function as o hotel is worth seeing.

The Soolsportholle in Zurich Wiedikon is o multifuntionol hall and one of two big
