Professor Ujwal Kayande is the Founding Director of the Centre for Business
Analytics, Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean (Academic) at
Melbourne Business School. Professor Kayande is one of the world’s leading
experts on marketing analytics, and a sought-after speaker and media
commentator on the topic.
Professor Kayande has taught at business schools such as the Wharton
School, Indian School of Business, Pennsylvania State University, Mannheim
Business School, and ESSEC, and has also been the Head of the School of
Management and Marketing at the Australian National University. He is an
Honorary Fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Innovation & Growth at Fudan
University, Shanghai, China.
Professor Kayande has won several prestigious awards for his research and
teaching. In 2015, he was awarded the EMAC-IJRM Best Paper Award by the
European Marketing Academy. In both 2015 and 2017, he was selected by
Melbourne Business School students to receive the Master of Business
Analytics Teaching Excellence Award. He has also been awarded the American
Marketing Association’s Donald Lehmann Award, the Australia/NZ Marketing
Academy’s Distinguished Researcher Award, and the Smeal MBA Teaching
Excellence Award from Pennsylvania State University. Professor Kayande
currently serves as Senior Editor of the International Journal of Research in
Marketing, and sits on the Editorial Boards of the several top international
academic journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of
Service Research, and Customer Needs and Solutions.
Professor Kayande has consulted on business analytics and strategy for a
number of global blue-chip organisations. He has been a co-founder of a
software technology company and currently sits on the Advisory Boards of two
technology start-ups.

Antony Ugoni

Antony is one of Australia’s leaders in analytics and in 2013 accepted an
opportunity at SEEK to develop the analytics capability.
Antony began his career as a Biostatistician to the Alfred Group of Hospitals
jointly with Monash Medical School. He then moved to a lecturing role in
Biostatistics at the University of Melbourne. Antony has co-authored more
than 50 peer reviewed articles in medical research and still actively contributes
to this industry today.
From 2000 to 2013 Antony worked at National Australia Bank leading many
ground breaking teams and projects. Antony started as the lead for its Credit
Card Fraud Analytics Group which used data driven insights to reduce fraud
losses by more than 50% in a market that was experiencing fraud losses
growing at 30% per annum. Antony was then offered the opportunity to lead
the Customer Analytics team which, in his tenure, identified more than $100b
worth of revenue opportunities.
Antony holds an MSc from La Trobe University, is an Associate Lecturer at the
School of Physiotherapy, University of Melbourne, an Honorary Senior Fellow
Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of Melbourne, a member
of the Advisory Board for the Centre of Business Analytics, University of
Melbourne, the Chairman of IAPA (Institute of Analytics Professionals, Australia)
and a Board Member of ADMA (The Association for Data-Driven Marketing and
Advertising
