'Welcome to the United Nations. It's your World'...

The Lucis Trust The Lucis Trust is the Publishing House which prints and disseminates United Nations material. It is a devastating indictment of the New Age and Pagan nature of the UN. Lucis Trust was established in 1922 as Lucifer Trust by Alice Bailey as the publishing company to disseminate the books of Bailey and Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society. The title page of Alice Bailey's book, 'Initiation, Human and Solar' was originally printed in 1922, and clearly shows the publishing house as 'Lucifer Publishing CoIn 1923.' Bailey changed the name to Lucis Trust, because Lucifer Trust revealed the true nature of the New Age Movement too clearly. (Constance Cumbey, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, p. 49). A quick trip to any New Age bookstore will reveal that many of the hard-core New Age books are published by Lucis Trust.

At one time, the Lucis Trust office in New York was located at 666 United Nations Plaza and is a member of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations under a slick program called "World Goodwill". In an Alice Bailey book called "Education for a New Age"; she suggests that in the new age "World Citizenship should be the goal of the enlightened, with a world federation and a world brain." In other words - a One World Government New World Order. Luci's Trust is sponsored by among others Robert McNamara, former minister of Defense in the USA, president of the World Bank, member of the Rockefeller Foundation, and Thomas Watson (IBM, former ambassador in Moscow). The United Nations has long been one of the foremost world harbingers for the "New Spirituality" and the gathering "New World Order" based on ancient occult and freemasonic principles. Seven years after the birth of the UN, a book was published by the theosophist and founder of the Lucis Trust, Alice Bailey, claiming that, "Evidence of the growth of the human intellect along the needed receptive lines [for the preparation of the New Age] can be seen in the "planning" of various nations and in the efforts of the United Nations to formulate a world plan... From the very start of this unfoldment, three occult factors have governed the development of all these plans" [Alice B. Bailey, Discipleship in the New Age (Lucis Press, 1955), Vol. II, p.35.] Although she did not spell out clearly the identity of these 'three occult factors', she did reveal to her students that, "Within the United Nations is the germ and seed of a great international and meditating, reflective group - a group of thinking and informed men and women in whose hands lies the destiny of humanity. This is largely under the control of many fourth ray disciples, if you could but realize it, and their point of meditative focus is the intuitional or Buddhic plane - the plane upon which all hierarchical activity is today to be found" [Ibid. p.220.] To this end, the Lucis Trust, under the leadership of Foster and Alice Bailey, started a group called 'World Goodwill' - an official non-governmental organization within the United Nations. The stated aim of this group is, "to cooperate in the world of preparation for the reappearance of the Christ"

[One Earth, the magazine of the Findhorn Foundation, October/November 1986, Vol. 6, Issue 6, p.24.] But the esoteric work inside the UN does not stop with such recognized occult groupings. Much of the impetus for this process was initiated through the officership of two Secretary-Generals of the UN, Dag Hammarskjöld (held office: 1953-1961) and U Thant (held office: 1961-1971) who succeeded him, and one Assistant Secretary-general, Dr. Robert Muller. In a book written to celebrate the philosophy of Teilhard de Chardin (and edited by Robert Muller), it is revealed, "Dag Hammarskjöld, the rational Nordic economist, had ended up as a mystic. He too held at the end of his life that spirituality was the ultimate key to our earthly fate in time and space" [Robert Muller (ed.), The Desire to be Human: A Global Reconnaissance of Human Perspectives in an Age of Transformation (Miranana, 1983), p.304.] Sri Chinmoy, the New Age guru, meditation leader at the UN, wrote: "the United Nations is the chosen instrument of God; to be a chosen instrument means to be a divine messenger carrying the banner of God's inner vision and outer manifestation." William Jasper, author of "A New World Religion" describes the religion of the UN: "...a weird and diabolical convergence of New Age mysticism, pantheism, aboriginal animism atheism, communism, socialism, Luciferian occultism, apostate Christianity, Islam, Taoism, Buddhism, and Hinduism". Inside the UN Meditation Room

The U.N. Meditation Room is built in the shape of a truncated pyramid. In the center is an altar made out of magnetite, the largest natural piece of magnetite ever mined. For meditation purposes it is probably the most ideal spot on the planet, since the magnetite altar has its foundation straight down, built into the bedrock of the land below; tapping into the energies of the earth itself. The mysterious mural also helps the worshippers tune into esoteric energies, and helps facilitate a state of altered consciousness.

The U.N. Meditation room at U.N. headquarters in New York (pictured here) is off-limits to most visitors, including Americans who pay most of the bills up there. It has been described as a pagan temple. It includes no traditional religious symbols. Secretary-General Kofi Annan was married to his Swedish wife in this room.

One World Religion On The Horizon!

There are strange and clandestine activities going on at this time between the United Nations in

New York and the Presidio in San Francisco, California. We must remember that the United

Nations, which was designed to produce a last days one world government, was created in San

Francisco in 1945. This foul United Nations, which was supposedly designed to ensure

everlasting peace, has actually fomented over 165 wars since its inception and has always been

the protectorate of "commUNism." By means of so-called "peace treaties", such as NATO,

SEATO, and the Warsaw Pact, the Illuministic UN has maintained a program of destruction to

force nations everywhere to become enslaved units of a Luciferian global government.

Two weeks ago, I was in the United Nations while on my seventh trip to New York City. I stood

in the meditation room, which contains Satan's altar. I went into this room to do spiritual warfare

and bind devils through the blood of Jesus Christ. The room was designed by the late

Secretary General of the UN, Dag Hammerjskold, who said that the black stone monolith or

block is "every man's god." The room is 18 feet wide at the entrance, which in numerology is 3

sixes. The room is also 33 feet long and tapers inward to form a truncated pyramid. There is

an abstract mural on the front wall, which is full of witchcraft symbols, and in the middle of the

room, is a black stone block, which weighs exactly 6.5 tons or 13,000 pounds. The black stone

block has a certain kind of magnetism about it, and when I walked into the room with my praying

wife, I could sense the intense presence of an evil force beyond description. This is where the

world leaders and Illuminati masterminds go to meditate, which is why it is open to the public

only in the mornings. Once the sun moves from antemeridiem to post meridiem only the adept

in witchcraft are allowed into that room, for that is witchcraft doctrine regarding meditation. As

the sun gives way to waning light and the female power of the moon goddess, the meditation

room at the UN becomes off-limits to what they call the "profane."

While in the meditation room, we prayed mightily, and I laid my hands on the black Luciferian

block while calling on the blood of Jesus Christ to bind the forces and powers in that room. I felt

a sizzling under my hands and prayed for several minutes until it stopped. I knew we had

gained victory in prayer, but I suddenly was overcome with so much weakness physically that I

could hardly stand up. I sat down and prayed, and my mind became filled with the Scripture

verse of Isaiah 40:31, which says, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and

not faint." I felt strength began to surge through me, and we walked several miles through the

city, even though the temperature was 100 degrees, until we arrived at our hotel near Central

Park.

It's a small room with no windows. In the center of the room is a 4' high stone [altar?] made of dark grey crystalline ore. The stone is extremely magnetic and possesses polarity. The room is dimly lit, however a small beam of light from a lens in the ceiling focuses on the altar. "Prayer, meditation and spirituality at the UN are fascinating subjects. All major world religions are accredited to the United Nations as non-governmental organizations. For example, no less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. Several of the world's religious leaders have visited the international organization. Today when I was listening to Chuck Harder's "For the People" program, his substitute, Cliff

Kincaid was interviewing someone who had written a book about the UN. They were talking

about Helm's historic visit to the UN today, and somewhere in there, they began talking about

the UN Meditation Room where ONLY members of the UN are allowed. I was not listening

closely, but it seems to me that they said that it has been quoted somewhere that the members

contact "higher beings and entities" in the room. I was amazed at this.

United Nations - SEAT Speech

SEAT stands for the "Society for Enlightenment and Transformation". It is a group within the

United Nations that comes under the United Nations staff Recreational Council. Seat is involved

in prayer groups and other activities that help a positive outcome in the work of the UN around

the World.

The Master was invited by the President of SEAT "Jennifer Borchers" to speak to their group at

the United Nations on the 8th June 1999. The talk began at 1:15pm and lasted for 40 minutes.

UNITED NATIONS TALK TO S.E.A.T. 8th June 1999 1:15pm

Good day to you. What a joy to be here, in this energy that you have so graciously provided

today.

The spiritual work is one that is not easy to do, for there is so much darkness in the world today.

You can say to yourselves, "But what can I do? I am so little a person! I am nobody! What can

my influence do to change humanity to a more enlightened being?" And I will say to you:

"Where you are gathered either one or more, and you have the name of your God, your Spirit.

You are one with Creation, you are one with Love, you are one with the Divine, you are one with

The Universal Brotherhood. Your thoughts, everything that you think, becomes. If you think of

peace, eventually, the more people that will think of peace, the more will be transformed, the

more that will be energized.

Each one of you here in this room has the ability to create peace in your meditations. By

thinking and meditating on peace in your prayers, and in your daily thoughts. It is possible to

change the energy of the world. It may seem such a hard task, especially those of you who work

in this building, for not only is there conflict in the world, but there are many who have conflicts

with the United Nations. Many who do not have nice thoughts at all about what happens here.

They are not educated. They do not see the hard work and the effort, the energy, the love that is

provided here by so many in such difficult circumstances Where war reigns, hardship and

difficulty are a part of life. The energy of those who work here is a very precious energy. There’s

no material reward, no glory, no glamour, just hard work, and yet so many choose to do the

work of spirit through this organization. Each one of you, with your thoughts, with your prayers,

and your meditation, can change humanity’s thinking. When you link with us, we not only use

our energy but yours as well. We use the energy of the universe and we link it with yours.

Humanity is not yet at a stage where there is total peace in the world, for the Ego reigns

supreme and the Self is important, not the Higher Self. Many Souls do not know they have even

a Higher Self, they look around with their heads buried in the sand, they cannot see and do not

often wish to see. But the energy that is in the world at this point of time is shifting and changing

the way society lives and thinks.

Think back to 50 earth years ago, and to how Spirit was represented then, and think of now, of

all of the New Age as you call it Bookshops, television, programs, television personalities

teaching of the Spiritual, videos, cassettes, people who offer their services to channel. It has

changed in 50 earth years so much, it has changed and will continue to change for humanity is

finally raising the vibrations of the earth plane. And you may see yourselves as inconsequential,

a little person, a non important being, and yet you are so important to the Plan, for what you

think, what you create, you will manifest. It has been said so often in this building and around

the world that education is the key. And education of the spiritual is more important also. You

know of your body, you know of your minds, but so very few know of your Soul. So few

understand the spiritual. It is classed as "evil" to be able to prophesy, to be able to heal, many

look upon the spiritual gifts as alien, yet each one of you in this room has the ability to prophesy,

and to heal, and to manifest peace.

If you could see the energy that surrounds each and every one of you, you would be surprised,

very surprised. When humanity understands the spiritual, then humanity will be able to create

peace. I am not saying that it is the most important factor for there is the body, the mind, and the

soul, but it is important that credence be given to the spiritual.

Long ago the American Red Indians understood the Soul and the spiritual. Many cultures

around the world have also understood the soul and the spiritual, but it has been hidden for so

long. It has been removed from your learning and teaching for so long. Humanity is ready now

and becoming more ready to learn of the "Spiritual Worlds". I say to each one of you to speak of

spiritual worlds whenever you can. You can say "oh, but I told my neighbor and she did not want

to listen", but how do you know that you have not sowed the seed? You can sow seeds in

Africa, and it may stay in the ground for twenty earth years never to grow. And then one day it

grows into a huge field of corn, or a huge tree, that is what you can do when you speak of

Spiritual things to those you know and those you do not know. You sow a seed, the seed may

not sprout for many years, you often think you are wasting your time by sowing seeds, by telling

people of Spiritual Realms and they look at you as if you’re weird. They don’t want to know, but

if you sow the seed at least it has been planted, waiting to grow. Whether it grows immediately,

or in five, ten, twenty, or even fifty earth years, you have done something. You may not see the

fruits of your labors immediately, but you at least have done something. Never think that your

words have not been useful, for they have been. Will be. And if you give the message it may

manifest now and later to help humanity, for each soul there is a time of awakening, there is a

time when it finally sees the Light and decides to grow. That is when that person’s seed grows,

the seed that was planted there by somebody else.

Never think that your words go in vain, for they do not. You sow seeds, you are farmers, sowing

your seeds, planting your fields for the future. And if you touch one soul with your words, then

your life has been worth living, You can say that you have done something with your life. Each

one of you has a bag of seeds, each one of you can sow those seeds. It is such a glorious thing

to be able to speak of spiritual realms, next time somebody speaks to you of the spiritual, watch

their eyes. Watch their faces, for they fill with energy. The eyes light up, and inner peace fills the

Soul.

For so long now, humanity has been denied the Spiritual. Conditioning, religion, repression, all,

and more, have stopped humanity from finding out about the spiritual realms in the true sense.

What is Spiritual? I am often asked What is the Divine? It is pure love. Unconditional, non-

judgmental, acceptance of each soul for who it is. Not judging color, race, personal traits,

history, rank, it is loving your brother, your sister. It is being at peace with others. When you are

with the spiritual worlds, you have no desire to gossip, for gossip is judgmental, yes, when you

speak of another you judge another. It is being in love with the universe, and the universal

energy, to love others you must love yourself, and so many people judge themselves! "Oh I am

too fat" " I am too thin" " I have a long nose" "my body is wobbly!". You judge yourself so

harshly. Each one of you is who you are because of your genetic makeup. But when you leave

your body and return to the Spiritual realms, where you are perfect. And when you are on this

earth plane, in your body, you are perfect, you just cannot see it, for you judge yourselves so

harshly. You can love. But to love others you must love yourself.

You must be at peace, not only with others but with yourself. I am often asked "Master, what

can I do to become spiritual? Tell me the tricks, tell me how to do it, Master?" And I say: it’s very

simple: "Love yourself. Love who you are, with your wobbly body, your long nose. Your extra

weight or your thinness. It does not matter, it is just a vehicle, it only is a vehicle, it carries the

soul, and it is the way it is because of your genetic makeup". Stop judging yourselves, allow

yourselves to be the perfection you are destined to be. You should be. Stop thinking that you

are anything less. And when you do this, you will find that you will be at peace. You will find that

when you stop judging yourselves, all around you becomes beautiful. Yes, yes it can and will.

Another area that you don’t understand a great deal is how you use your own energy. The

energy of the spiritual. So many of you become hurt, so many of you, allow others to upset you,

allow others to create disharmony in your life and yet, if you do not give anything, any energy, it

cannot go anywhere. So many of you say "Oh, but my friend, husband, lover, mother, sister,

brother, father is so powerful, I am afraid of them", and yet the only power that they have is the

power that you give them. Think about it, when you take back your power, they are usually so

shocked. I say to those who have difficulty communicating "Speak your truth quietly and

clearly", you don’t have to yell, shout or argue. What is wrong with saying "I am sorry, that is

your vision, not mine"? "I’m sorry, I disagree with you" ? Yet so many of you in this room are

frightened to do just that. You are entitled to speak your truth to another, as long as you do not

choose violence or anger, just speak your truth, release the throat chakra, energy. You will

speak a lot better if you do so.

The next time your work mate or your friend or your partner or close associate, whether family

or friends create disharmony in your life instead of giving it energy and reacting as most people

do, don’t react. Don’t react! You will be amazed at how, when you do not react, the situation will

change. Violence begets violence, anger begets anger, frustration, begets frustration. What a

waste of energy! What a waste of energy. Try changing your life, try changing your thinking.

These are little things to inform you about and yet can have a profound effect on your life. And if

you have fear of speaking, in speaking your truth quietly and clearly, all that you have to do is to

ask we in spirit before you open your mouth. All you have to do is ask us "Divine spirit, please

help me to speak to this person in truth and love, without anger, frustration or indifference, or

any of the other negative emotions". And we will be at your side. We promise you we will place

into your mind words for you to say, and you’ll find that your mouth will open and you will say

your words and it will be as if a great weight is lifted from you, for you will finally express

yourself.

It is this that we in spirit are here to bring you the message of. To educate humanity to let go of

emotion, to let go of anger and frustration, there are alternatives, they can be used, they have

been used, and they are successful. Each one of you has so much inside of you, so much love,

understanding, compassion, each one of you has the ability to change the earth plane, to

change the thinking, even as small as you are. History is full of people who were nobody, yet

who did great things. And history is also full of people who did not become anybody and who

still did great things. Over the next ten earth years much change will come to the earth plane,

much has been made of "doom and gloom", that the earth is going to end, and negative things

will happen. Rubbish, nonsense is what I say. That’s my Channel’s words, not mine. I have to

use her words, for in Spiritual Realms we do not have words, we have thoughts. It is the only

word I can think to use that speaks of the truth.

Have no fear of the future of the earth plane, Yes, there will be war and earthquakes and floods

that there have been for Eons of time. But you see, the earth plane is changing, humanity is

changing, and more and more people become what you call Light Workers. The more and more

people love themselves, more and more people speak their truth, more and more people sow

their seeds, the more enlightened the world will become. From one acorn an Oak tree grows.

Think about it. Each one of you is an Acorn. Each one of you is a seed. And each one of you

has such a desire to serve humanity, and we can help you to do that. And how do you do that?

You join with us in Spirit, in meditations you ask us to enter, in your prayers you ask us to help.

But more than anything, "Love yourselves, with all its wobbly bits". Your body is the most

precious vessel, for it holds your soul. Nobody ever sees themselves as perfect. Ever! There’s

no perfection in any human being! But in the soul there is always perfection. Always there is

perfection.

I am just a messenger, that is my role as a Teacher. The web site that I persuaded my

channel’s husband to found, to create, has over 70 countries who regularly view the writings of

beings, not just those of myself. And more and more, each day, each month, each year, more

the tree and letting the seeds drop, what a wonderful energy we have for the future of humanity!

Yes it is hard work. There is no glamour, it is hard work, wading through the mud of negativity

on this earth plane, but we CAN raise the vibration. We can raise the energy so that not too far

away humanity will no longer wish to be at war. There will be no famine, poverty, hardship,

difficulty, and it will come with education. As simple as that, education of the body, education of

the mind, education of the spiritual realms. The three combined. There has been many prophets

who have brought the message of spirit to the earth plane, and they will continue to come, we

will continue to send them until humanity has raised its vibration, but the message is just love.

Love yourself and you can love others. Love yourself, and you are on your way to finding peace

within. It is time, now, for me to retire. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak the

Antichrist: The Contemporary Data

The 20th century has seen the decline of traditional Christian beliefs and the rise of the

seemingly all-inclusive, multi-dimensional belief system known loosely as "New Age" spirituality.

Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey were two of the most well known organizers of this

movement in the early part of this century (and they will be referred to throughout this article).

Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society and Bailey, later a president of the TS, founded the

organization known as the Lucis Trust, which has counted as members men of great influence

such as David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Paul Volker and George Schultz (1). Blavatsky and

Bailey were avid trance-channelers who claimed to receive messages from spirit entities (2) and

both recorded many predictions that were made to them regarding the inevitable appearance of

"The Lord Maitreya" or "The Christ" on the earth immediately prior to earth's initiation into the

utopian "New Age."(3) Because these women engaged in the biblically-forbidden practice of

spiritism and because the messages they received were deeply anti-Christian, mocking and

ridiculing traditional Christianity, bible-believing Christians have understood that the appearance

of the man whom Bailey and Blavatsky predicted was not a reference to the second coming of

Jesus Christ, but was in fact a prediction of the future Antichrist.

A man by the name of Benjamin Creme, a self-described disciple of both Blavatsky and Bailey,

appears to have taken over where they left off. Through his early studies of their works he

became convinced in the reality of the "Ascended Masters," (the supposed inter-dimensional

beings who direct humanity's evolution), and claims that in 1959 he was first contacted by them.

According to Creme's biography... "He was told, among other things, that Maitreya, the World

Teacher -- the Master of all the Masters -- would return in about 20 years and that he (Creme)

would have a role to play in the event if he chose to accept it." Creme claims that he has been

in constant telepathic contact with "Maitreya the Christ" since the early '70s and that Maitreya

finally entered civilized society privately in 1977 when he materialized in human form and took

up residence in a suburb of London.(4) Since then Creme has traveled the world, giving lectures

and appearing on talk shows, to prepare the world for the public emergence of Maitreya.(5) He

also claims that a major American television network has agreed to interview Maitreya at a time

of Maitreya's choosing.(6)

One major aspect of Creme's mission was the formation of Share International Foundation and

the publication of it's monthly self-titled magazine. Each issue contains a brief synopsis of the

emergence of Maitreya on the first two pages and then a brief message that has been trance-

channeled through Benjamin Creme from an Ascended Master known simply as "The Master"

on page three. The spiritual thrust of SI is clearly obvious in each issue that is published.

Despite this fact, or perhaps because of it, SI has a long list of prominent, well respected

international diplomats, religious leaders and political figures who have had articles published in

this magazine. They include articles written by former UN leader Boutros Boutros-Ghali; present

leader Kofi Annan; former President of Ireland Mary Robinson; Gro Harlem Brundtland who is

director-general of the World Health Organization and former Prime Minister of Norway; the

Dalai Lama; and recently even Britain's Crown Prince Charles.(7) Even though the average man

on the street would most likely dissolve into hysterical laughter upon being presented with the

beliefs of Creme and Share International, it is easily shown that this magazine is well-respected

and taken seriously by many influential members of the Global Elite. In fact, Share International

Foundation is accredited as an official non-governmental organization (NGO) by the United

Nations,(8) and the magazine, as stated on the inside cover of each issue, is published by SI

"...in association with the Department of Public Information at the United Nations."

Creme and Share International are both intimately connected with a number of New Age groups

including the Freemasons (Creme often lectures in Masonic halls), the Tara Canter of

Hollywood, CA, the Theosophical Society, the Lucis Trust (which maintains the official UN

"meditation room"), and World Goodwill, an organization created by the Lucis Trust and also

recognized by the UN as an official NGO. World Goodwill also actively promotes the

appearance of "Maitreya the World Teacher" in their literature and on their website. (9)

Maitreya claims to be "The Christ" returned, yet there are many aspects of his character and

many of his predictions (as given by Creme) which fall in line with the bible's predictions of the

coming Antichrist and the events that will surround the end of the age. For instance, Maitreya

predicts many natural disasters and a period of violence and destruction prior to earth's entry

into the New Age (10); he warns that the worldwide capitalist financial system will be

overturned (11); he predicts that a new world religion will be established under his guidance and

that he will be aided by a future leader of the Roman Catholic Church (12). Regarding the

current problems between Israel and the Palestinians Creme has stated that when Maitreya

appears he will solve them, saying, "I believe Maitreya alone has the spiritual authority to point

to the solution and achieve its implementation." Most Christians understand that the final seven

year period of earth's rebellious history begins with a covenant that will involve the Antichrist

and the nation of Israel. (13) In addition to these facts Creme says that Maitreya may be

rejected by intolerant "fundamentalists" (Christians and Jews), and "The Master," an unnamed

being who also speaks through Creme, warns of people who will reject Maitreya based on

"scriptural warnings which they all too readily misinterpret." (14) (This researcher is doing his

best to interpret them correctly.)

MEDITATION*

The guided meditation we will be using is based on two truisms that used to be considered esoteric, but that today are becoming mainstream knowledge:

1. Energy Follows Thought 2. As We Think in Our Heart, So We Are

This meditation is based on the raja yoga method of meditation, which means meditation with a seed thought and the whole meditation is leading up to a focus on the thought we will contemplate together: "The Divine Purpose that seeks to guide the work of the United Nations."

It is based on the six-fold progression of Divine Love—recognizing six different stages of consciousness towards which we aspire and from which we seek inspiration, and which we then seek to express in the world.

It's a form of in-breathing-pause (meditation) Out-breathing-pause (lower interlude, when flooded with the energies we have been able to touch, we focus on how to apply our inspiration in the world)

If you would like to join in sounding the two mantras—the one under alignment and the other under distribution, you are welcome to sound them aloud. As we know, sounding mantric words and formulas aloud can have a powerful effect. However, if you prefer not to sound them, that is fine too.

The Great Invocation

I would like to also say a few words about The Great Invocation that you will have the opportunity to sound at the end of the meditation.

Your packets include some information about this invocation, which was given to humanity in 1945 and which has been translated into over 70 languages. Your packets include this Invocation in the six languages of the UN.

Each of the stanzas refers to a different dimension of consciousness and so we will pause at the end of each stanza, giving

ourselves an opportunity to focus on the centers of Light, Love and Purpose—and then finally on the one humanity that can implement these energies into the daily life.

As it is explained in the booklet, the mantric power of the words and the phrases used in The Great Invocation create a rhythmic vibration, invoking spiritual energies that can strengthen the work of the United Nations as it strives to uplift the quality of life on our planet.

Many religions believe in a World Teacher-a Coming One who is to reappear, as has been the case throughout the history of humanity. This Coming One is known by such names as the Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, the Bodhisattva, the Messiah, and the Kalki Avatar—just to acknowledge a few of the names by which this Spiritual Teacher is known.

In the English version of The Great Invocation, which is the original language in which this Invocation was given to humanity, the term Christ is used for this Coming One. And, it may be of interest to note that in the ancient archives, before Christianity came to be, this term was a title, attributed to the One, Who at any given time in the history of humanity holds the title of the World Spiritual Teacher—the purified or Initiated One. This title and word has great esoteric significance.

Also, the word "man" is a derivative of the Sanskrit term, Manas, which refers to the mental principle—the positive element that characterizes humanity, emphasizing the fact that humanity is able to THINK and use the mind.

Again, you are invited to sound this mantram, if you like, but only if you are comfortable in doing so.

I will call out the stages of the meditation so that it will not be necessary for you to read, unless you want to sound the mantrams.

Purposes & Objectives

World Goodwill is an organised movement founded in 1932 to help establish right human relations

and solve humanity's problems through the constructive power of goodwill. World Goodwill's

activities are essentially educational.

Principles: The work of World Goodwill is based on the principles of brotherhood, human unity,

sharing and cooperation; and on the fundamental rights and freedoms embodied in the United

Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. World Goodwill is a world service organisation

practising the principle of non-discrimination in race, religion, ideology, and political and economic

convictions.

Purposes:

World Goodwill has three main purposes:

To help mobilise the energy of goodwill;

To cooperate in the work of preparation for the reappearance of the Christ;

To educate public opinion on the causes of the major world problems and to help

create the thoughtform of solution.

Policy: World Goodwill's policy and programmes are formulated by an international group with

headquarters in Geneva, London and New York, in consultation with cooperating groups and

associates in many parts of the world.

Organisation: World Goodwill is a voluntary association of men and women of goodwill open to all

who support its principles and objectives. World Goodwill is not a "membership organisation" and

there are no membership dues.

World Goodwill is an accredited non-governmental organisation with the Department of Public

Information of the United Nations. It maintains informal relations with certain of the Specialised

Agencies and with a wide range of national and international non-governmental organisations.

World Goodwill is an activity of the Lucis Trust, which is on the Roster of the United Nations

Economic and Social Council.

Finance: The work is financed solely by voluntary contributions.

The Objectives of World Goodwill

To stimulate and encourage men and women of goodwill everywhere to establish

right human relations between races, religions, nations and classes through

intelligent understanding and adequate communication.

To assist men and women of goodwill in their studies of world problems, and in the

effective application to these problems of goodwill, cooperation and sharing for

the common good.

To cooperate with other organisations in constructive activities contributing to

world unity, stability and right human relations.

To make available up-to-date information on constructive current action in the main

areas of human life through publication of a quarterly newsletter and goodwill

commentaries on issues of world interest.

To aid in establishing goodwill as the keynote of the new civilisation.

To create a worldwide mailing list of men and women of goodwill.

To support the work of the United Nations and its Specialised Agencies as the best

hope for a united and peaceful world.

The Will To Good

There are six recognitions that can provide a basis for realising these purposes and objectives:

One: Humanity is not following a haphazard or uncharted course -- there is a Plan. This Plan has

always existed and is part of the greater design of the Cosmos. The Plan has worked out through

the evolutionary developments of the past and because of the special impetus given it from time to

time by the great leaders, teachers and intuitives of the human race.

Two: There is an inner spiritual government of the planet, known under such different names as

the spiritual Hierarchy, the society of Illumined Minds, or Christ and his Church, according to

various religious traditions. Humanity is never left without spiritual guidance or direction under the

Plan.

Three: The widespread expectation that we approach the "Age of Maitreya", as it is known in the

East, when the World Teacher and present head of the spiritual Hierarchy, the Christ, will reappear

among humanity to sound the keynote of the new age.

Four: There are millions of mentally alert men and women in all parts of the world who are en

rapport with the Plan and work to give it expression. They are people in whom the consciousness

of humanity as one interdependent unit is alive and active. They regard the many differing

national, religious and social systems in which they serve as modes of expanding human

consciousness and ways by which humanity learns needed lessons. Their primary function is,

through their living example, to give humanity a new and better vision of what life should be.

Five: The heart of humanity is sound. Our era is notable for the growth of goodwill and altruistic

endeavour. All the crises, wars and catastrophes of the twentieth century have been unable to

crush the human spirit.

Six: The Plan for humanity is based on the principles of sharing, cooperation, practical

brotherhood, right relationships between all people and between nations, and goodwill in action.

These beliefs give a new dimension to spiritual reality and a long-range perspective to our present

crises. They provide opportunity for cooperation with the spiritual evolution of humanity and

increase our capacity for freedom.

There is no group so likely to ensure that humanity achieves this most difficult goal as the men and

women of goodwill. Provided they can overcome inertia they are in a key position, requiring only

courage to express goodwill and to initiate action to prepare for the new world order.

Mobilising Goodwill

The hope for the future lies in the hands of men and women of goodwill. Leaders, managers,

technical experts and specialists in all areas of life are relatively helpless without the massed

cooperation of people of goodwill. Focussed enlightened public opinion has no equal and can be a

major factor in world reconstruction. But it has been little used. The major need today is to educate

world public opinion in the significance of goodwill as a powerful creative energy and way of life;

and to mobilise men and women to establish goodwill as a keynote of the coming new age

civilisation. World Goodwill aids in this task by:

Advice and assistance to individual men and women to increase their effectiveness in

service.

Cooperation with the world service action of other organisations, and groups of

organisations.

Support for the work of the United Nations and its Specialised Agencies as the main hope

for humanity's future.

Meditation on right human relations and the energy of goodwill.

A Worldwide Educational Programme which includes: A Distribution Programme of

pamphlets to all parts of the world, with the assistance of volunteer associates and

cooperating groups.

The World Goodwill Newsletter, a regular publication highlighting the energy of goodwill in

world affairs. The newsletter presents a universal spiritual approach to topics of concern.

Occasional Papers and Study Sets, dealing with some of the world's major problems.

The World Goodwill Commentary, a goodwill periodical, displaying evidences of the

emerging new age civilisation with comment on current world events.

The World Goodwill Forum, regular meetings, including an annual seminar in London,

New York and Geneva, highlight groups and individuals working to meet world need.

Audio recordings are distributed worldwide.

The Reappearance of the Christ

This is a time of preparation not only for a new civilisation and culture in a new world order, but

also for the coming of a new spiritual dispensation.

Humanity is not following an uncharted course. There is a divine Plan in the Cosmos of which we

are a part. At the end of an age human resources and established institutions seem inadequate to

meet world needs and problems. At such a time the advent of a Teacher, a spiritual leader or

Avatar, is anticipated and invoked by the masses of humanity in all parts of the world.

Today the reappearance of the World Teacher, the Christ, is expected by millions, not only by

those of Christian faith but by those of every faith who expect the Avatar under other names -- the

Lord Maitreya, Krishna, Messiah, Imam Mahdi and the Bodhisattva.

Glamour and distortion surround this central fact of divine response to human need. This is

inevitable but unimportant. The fact of transition into a new age is important. Preparation by men

and women of goodwill is needed to introduce new values for living, new standards of behaviour,

new attitudes of non-separateness and cooperation, leading to right human relations and a world

at peace. The coming world Teacher will be mainly concerned, not with the result of past error and

inadequacy, but with the requirements of a new world order and with the reorganisation of the

social structure.

World Goodwill distributes educational and informative literature on these themes. A world prayer,

the Great Invocation, is distributed on a worldwide scale in many languages and dialects. World

Goodwill also cooperates in organising the annual World Invocation Day, with special focus on the

use of the Great Invocation worldwide.

Good Afternoon Friends. Welcome and thank you all for coming.

It is most auspicious that of all the conference rooms we tried to obtain for this seminar—and believe me

there was much effort put into this task—we find ourselves in this Dag Hammarskjöld conference

room. As one of the most famous and distinguished of the UN’s Secretaries-General—the one who set

the bar by which others have been measured, we also know Secretary-General Hammarskjöld as the

designer of the UN Meditation Room as it is today.

His dedication of that Meditation Room is inlcuded in your packets and it is Dag Hammarskjöld, often

referred to as a modern day mystic, who stated that unless there is a spiritual renaissance on our planet,

there will be no peace on earth.

We have a full program ahead of us and thus, I’m going to jump in, asking you at the outset to be bold

and creative in your thinking, to search the fullness of your heart and to aspire to the heights of

inspiration, for the next three hours, so that together in cooperative unity we may truly accomplish on

behalf of those the UN has designated as the 50 Least Developed Countries of Our Planet.

Although we are featuring two keynote talks and one multimedia presentation, this work of “Attaining

Global Consciousness” in order to help meet the needs of the 50 Least Developed Countries, can only be

accomplished as each one of us takes this responsibility to heart. Only as each of us take up our own

Mastery, can Global Consciousness be attained, leading to changed planetary conditions.

As one person takes a step forward in this direction, so he/she inspires the rest of us—who then, in turn

inspire those within our circles—and so on, and on—in ripple-like fashion; the one who inspires becomes

the one who is inspired and so the circle grows, becomes enlivened and eventually, encompasses the

planet. That is a vision that we can all work to realize.

We are counting on your contributions to help make the next three hours dynamic, inspiring, productive

and joyful, for as one of the quotations in your packet indicates, what could possibly weave a better smile

than the desire to see the very last child laughing.

How Can Global Consciousness Respond to the Cry of the Least Developed Countries?

Introduction

Dear Friends, I think that increasingly we are waking up to the fact that if the conditions on our planet are

to change, it’s up to each one of us to change them! Increasingly we realize that “they” –over there, or

those executives at the top—are not going to solve the problems that beset our planetary society.

“The world is not going to be saved by politicians or corporations”—states one of the quotes in your

packets; instead, it will be saved by those in service to that which is spiritual—within themselves and

within the world. Higher knowledge, higher consciousness has always come from within, but it needs

those committed to this revelation to bring it into life, to unite the inner and outer and to awaken the world

to its spiritual nature.

In the words of Gandhi, we each must become the change we seek in the world.

It is helpful to remember that all that IS, is ever present, it is a matter of acknowledging this and then

bringing it into the light of day. The Talmud tells us that we see the world not as it is, but as we are. An

ancient metaphysical truism states, “The eye sees what it brings to the seeing.” The Quran tells us that

Allah will never change the condition of a people until they first change what is in themselves. [The Quran

{11:13)]

"The Universe,” according to the first volume of The Secret Doctrine, “is worked and guided from within

outwards…every external motion, act, gesture, whether voluntary or mechanical, organic or mental, is

produced and preceded by internal feeling or emotion, will or volition, and thought or mind."

It was the 7th Century Buddhist Saint, Shantideva, who wrote,

“Likewise it is not possible for me

To restrain the external course of things;

But should I restrain this mind of mine

What would be the need to restrain all else?”

You all may know of other traditions that repeat this very same concept—so pivotal to the formation of a

Global Consciousness. The expansion of consciousness occurs only as each person self-commits to this

all-important responsibility.

Global Consciousness

Which brings us to the question, underlying the theme of this Seminar: “What is a Global

Consciousness?”

You all will have an opportunity to address this very same question later; for now, I would like to share

with you my thoughts on what I understand by Global Consciousness.

The word consciousness comes from two Latin words (con, with; and scio, to know) and means literally,

“that with which we know.”

The Ageless Wisdom tells us that in time to come, the phrase “life in the three worlds” will be discontinued

and people will instead talk in terms of life in the five worlds of Consciousness. We are all aware of the

physical, emotional and mental states of consciousness and Spiritual or Transpersonal Psychology over

the last thirty some years has introduced us to the concept of the Spiritual Self, the Higher Self, the Soul

or the Atman—that inner motivating principle that holds a deeper wisdom and knowingness—that part of

us that is the cause behind the personal “I”; that part of us, if we pay attention, that brings us flashes of

intuition or direct knowledge; and, ceaselessly and consistently helps us refine our consciousness as we

become ever more sensitive and responsive to the multidimensional world in which we live and move and

have our being.

The ancient sage, Patanjali, who is the first to have put in writing the wisdom of the East, which up until

his time was only given by word of mouth to those deemed worthy, provides for us an even more detailed

outline. He refers to the seven states of consciousness possible on this the 7th cosmic physical plane of

existence. And, the esoteric wisdom holds in trust the detailed diagrams and explanations of six still

higher, more inclusive and exalted states of cosmic consciousness, each having their own 7 sub-states of

consciousness.

As I just mentioned, we are all familiar with the first three states of consciousness: the physical, the astral

or emotional and the mental plane. Many today are awakening to and responding to that plane of

consciousness known by such terms as buddhic, intuitional, group, Soul or Christ consciousness.

And, it is this realm of Soul consciousness that encompasses what we here refer to as Global

Consciousness.

All life is ever evolving, ever tending towards expansion. All life takes the form of a progressive series of

awakenings and humanity is today evolving from personal or self-consciousness towards this Soul or

Global Consciousness. Increasingly, we are learning how to transcend the binding, restrictive sense of

separateness and isolation by opening to and striving to attain the expanded love-wisdom of Global

Consciousness.

As a result, slowly, competition is being replaced by cooperation and the power of enlightened reason and

dialogue are gradually taking the place of war and brutality. Witness, for example, the new book by Al

Gore entitled, An Age of Reason. As a planetary society, we are beginning to move from a separative and

selfish culture with its emphasis on “me, mine and my own” to a heart oriented culture where world-wide

cooperation for the Common Good—the Good of the Whole—is becoming the acceptable norm. The

imprisonment of human consciousness is slowly lessening as we move towards the liberation of the

human spirit.

The existence of the United Nations, the growing number of welfare movements, the increasing number of

NGOs committed to solving one or more of the problems plaguing humanity, the interest in spirituality and

the growing understanding that humanity and all life are interconnected—all this attests to this movement

towards Global Consciousness.

In one of his talks in 2003, Secretary-General Kofi Annan presented his vision of how he would like to see

the world functioning. I think it is a most fitting and apt definition of a Global Consciousness. He said, “I

see human beings caring for each other, and states sharing responsibility for the safety and welfare of all

people, wherever they may live…I see all peoples working together to care for their common home, the

earth, ensuring that its riches are preserved for future generations. And I see decisions that affect the

global interest being taken in global institutions, starting with the United Nations. All members will respect

each other’s views, and strive honestly to reach agreement.” (Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, June 23,

2003)

His thought is echoed in the following passage from one of the books of the Ageless Wisdom: "The family

of nations, viewed as a unit, its correct and proper interrelation, and the shouldering of responsibility for

the one, or for the weak, must be the realised goal of all national enterprise; the resources of the entire

planet must be shared collectively and it must be increasingly realised that the products of the earth, the

gifts of the soil, the intellectual heritage of the nations, belong to the whole of mankind and to no one

nation exclusively. No nation liveth unto itself, any more than any individual can happily so live; the nation

or individual who attempts so to do must inevitably perish off the face of the earth." (The Externalisation of

the Hierarchy, pp. 373-374)

Such to my mind is a Global Consciousness. When the welfare of each individual is equally

important. This is also enunciated most clearly and simply in the first article of the Universal Declaration

of Human Rights: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights…and should act

towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”

Always there have been individuals on the planet who throughout time have demonstrated this Soul or

Global Consciousness. They are the great spiritual teachers and the great servants of humanity in all

fields. Today, we are here at this meeting—united with many others on the planet—walking in the

footprints they left behind. According to our intentions and aspiration, we are adding our quota to their

vision of the Good, the Beautiful and the True.

Along with many others on the planet, some who are joining with us today, we are a part of the One

Stream and we are heading in the same direction because we too seek to serve the Common Good. We

too seek to do all we can to alleviate the suffering extant everywhere and we too seek to bring more

justice and compassion into our world.

Whereas in the past we could only point to an individual here or there who demonstrated such a

consciousness, today, the expectation is for such a Global Consciousness to become the norm and not

the exception.

The Cry of the Least Developed Countries

Soon we will hear from His Excellency, Ambassador Chowdhury who will address the theme of “The

Cause of the Least Developed Countries.”

I would like to briefly address their “Cry.” As we know, this “Cry” often is muffled and even voiceless

because the suffering, the anguish and the pain is usually not noted; it is not part of the daily

consciousness of most people.

It was just in 1971 that the international community at the United Nations recognized the existence of a

category of countries whose distinctness lies not only in the profound poverty of their people, but also in

the weakness of their economic, institutional and human resources, often compounded by geophysical

handicaps.

Identified as the “Least Developed Countries”—this group, which today makes up 50 countries,

constitutes the weakest segment of the international community and the economic and social

development of these countries represents a major challenge. Constituting about 800 million people,

these Least Developed Countries are the shame of the world community. They are the effect of a

planetary society who must change from a consciousness of materialism, greed and separateness to one

of Global Consciousness—a consciousness of compassion, justice and right human relations.

Here, I would like to share the compelling thought put forward by Professor Muhammad Yunus at the

Special United Nations Tribute for this 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate: “Poverty”, said Professor

Yunus, “is not created by the poor. Poverty is created by the institutions we have built; poverty is created

by the concepts we have promoted; and, it is created by the policies that we adopt.” So, if we revisit those

policies and eliminate the biases that we put into those policies, then there will be no poverty. “We can

push poverty into the museum.” (November 17, 2006)

The Science of Invocation

Friends, we can accomplish only what we can imagine. Imagination, the metaphysical wisdom tells us is

the very seed of Samadhi or eternal Bliss and it is an activity we can cultivate.

In his Report to the 56th Session of the General Assembly in 2001, Secretary-General Kofi Annan stated

that “The United Nations is an embodiment of the will of humankind to defeat violence with the power of

reason and to achieve some betterment of the human condition.”

Without the will of the individual Nation States the United Nations cannot successfully attain its

goals. What drives the will of the Nation States but the will of the individual citizens of the world—the will

of those of us who care enough to labour for the good of the Whole?

As we know, it is only through a change in human consciousness that the suffering of humanity will

eventually come to an end. And, it is only as spiritually aware people learn to “stand as a great army of

implacable spiritual will”—behind those who are working for the upliftment and well-being of humanity—

that the necessary changes can occur.

In the book, The Externalisation of the Hierarchy, the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul affirms that, the main

objective today is to stimulate the aspiration in the hearts of men and women so that human receptivity to

the good, the beautiful and the true may be greatly increased. These energies will bring in the new

creative era; thus, men and women will be free to think and to create the new forms for the new ideals;

then they will bring into manifestation in words, in colour, in music and in other creative forms the new

revelation and the new world.

World Invocation Day

Today is a special day—astrologically and spiritually. It is the reason why we chose this date for this

particular Seminar. On this day of the Gemini Solar Festival, many around the world observe World

Invocation Day, also known as the Festival of Goodwill and the Festival of Humanity.

Observed since 1952, it is a powerful and culminating Festival when men and women of every spiritual

path join in a universal appeal to those Great Beings who watch over and guide humanity’s evolution. It is

a day when, together, humanity—that is, we—can focus the invocative demand for light, love and spiritual

direction that is needed to build a world of justice, unity and right human relations.

One of the greatest insights of our time is that of the interdependence and interrelatedness of all life. As a

result, millions share the conviction of an inner spiritual unity, which transcends any outer differences of

race, nation and creed. As the men and women of goodwill the world over give expression to this

conviction in their lives, a process of planetary transformation is taking place. A new civilization is

emerging which embraces all peoples and is founded upon the recognition of our common humanity.

The world’s problems are of humanity’s making and they are for humanity to solve. However, the essence

of the spiritual life lies in knowing that we are not alone. Spiritual energies are abundantly available, and

on World Invocation Day, an appeal can be made for the release of the spiritual energies, which will

enable humanity to attain Global Consciousness and create the new longed-for civilization.

An esoteric truism states, “always we get—in time and space—what we invoke; and the knowledge of this

fact, scientifically applied, will be one of the great liberating forces for humanity.” (Telepathy and the

Etheric Vehicle, p. 57)

May we therefore join together to lend our voices, our hearts and our minds to humanity’s invocative cry

for greater justice, unity and right human relations, with a special focus on the welfare of the 50 Least

Developed Countries of our world? United in focused, purposeful and heartfelt invocation, we have the

power today in the next three hours of this Seminar to contribute to the healing of the nations and the

fostering of world unity.

MEDITATION

The guided meditation we will be using is based on two truisms that used to be considered esoteric, but

that today are becoming mainstream knowledge:

1. Energy Follows Thought

2. As We Think in Our Hearts, So We Are

This meditation is based on the raja yoga method of meditation, which means meditation with a seed

thought and the whole meditation is leading up to a focus on the thought we will contemplate together:

“The Divine Purpose that seeks to guide the work of the United Nations.”

It is based on the six-fold progression of Divine Love—recognizing six different stages of consciousness

towards which we aspire and from which we seek inspiration, and which we then seek to express in the

world.

It’s a form of in-breathing and then pausing, which is when meditation can take place; out-breathing and

then pausing again. This is the “lower interlude”, wherein our minds and hearts are flooded with the

energies we have been able to touch and we then focus on how to apply our inspiration in the world.

If you would like to join in sounding the two mantras—the one under alignment and the other under

distribution, you are welcome to sound them aloud. As we know, sounding mantric words and formulas

aloud can have a powerful effect. However, if you prefer not to sound them, that is fine too.

The Great Invocation

I would like to also say a few words about The Great Invocation that you will have the opportunity to

sound at the end of the meditation. By using this mantram you will have the opportunity to radiate the

energies of Light, Love and the Will-to-Good throughout the planet, irradiating the consciousness of the

whole human race.

Your packets include some information about this invocation, which was given to humanity in 1945 and

which has been translated into over 70 languages, provided for you in the six languages of the UN.

Each of the stanzas refers to a different dimension of consciousness and so we will pause at the end of

each stanza, giving ourselves an opportunity to focus on the centers of Light, Love and Purpose—and

then finally on the one humanity that can implement these energies in the daily life.

As it is explained in the booklet, the mantric power of the words and the phrases used in The Great

Invocation create a rhythmic vibration, invoking spiritual energies that can strengthen the work of the

United Nations as it strives to uplift the quality of life on our planet.

Many religions believe in a World Teacher—a Coming One who is to reappear, as has been the case

throughout the history of humanity. This World Teacher is known by such names as the Lord Maitreya,

the Imam Mahdi, the Bodhisattva, the Messiah, and the Kalki Avatar—just to acknowledge a few of the

names by which this Coming One is known.

In the English version of The Great Invocation, which is the original language in which this Invocation was

given to humanity, the term Christ is used for this Spiritual Teacher. And, it may be of interest to note that

in the ancient archives, before Christianity came to be, this term was a title, attributed to the One, Who at

any given time in the history of humanity holds the title of the World Spiritual Teacher—the purified or

Initiated One. This title and word has great esoteric significance.

Also, the word “man” is a derivative of the Sanskrit term, Manas, which refers to the mental principle—the

positive element that characterizes humanity, emphasizing the fact that humanity is able to THINK and

use the mind.

Again, you are invited to sound this mantram, if you like, but only if you are comfortable in doing so.

I will call out the stages of the meditation so that it will not be necessary for you to read, unless you want

to sound the mantrams.

The Earth Charter and the Ark of the Gaia Covenant

For those who may have dismissed the notion of a UN Agenda for a New World Religion used to usher in sweeping

anti-constitutional environmental agreements, I offer the following.

“The real goal of the Earth Charter is that it will in fact become like the Ten Commandments.”

“Do not do unto the environment of others what you do not want done to your own environment....My hope is that this charter

will be a kind of Ten Commandments, a 'Sermon on the Mount', that provides a guide for human behavior toward the

environment in the next century.”

On September the 9th, 2001 a celebration of the Earth Charter was held at Shelburne Farms Vermont for the unveiling of the

Earth Charter's final resting place. This "Ark of Hope" will be presented to the United Nations along with its contents in June of

2002. It is hoped that the United Nations will endorse the Earth Charter document on this occasion; the tenth anniversary of the

UNCED Earth Summit in Rio.

Placed within the Ark, along with the Earth Charter, were various items called "Temenos Books" and "Temenos Earth Masks."

Temenos is a concept adopted by Carl Jung to denote a magic circle, a sacred space where special rules and energies apply.

Some of the Temenos Books were created within this magic circle by children, who filled them with visual affirmations for

Mother Earth. Fashioned with the "earth elements", the Temenos Earth Masks were also worn and created by children.

Maurice Strong and the "Agenda"

In 1992 Maurice Strong was the Secretary General of the historic United Nations (UNCED) Earth conference in Rio. This

gathering featured an international cast of powerful figures in the environmental movement, government, business, and

entertainment. Maurice Strong's wife Hannah, was involved in the NGO alternative meeting at the Summit called Global Forum

'92. The Dalai Lama opened the meeting and, according to author Gary Kah, to ensure the success of the forum, Hanne Strong

held a three-week vigil with Wisdomkeepers, a group of "global transformationalists." Through round-the-clock sacred fire,

drumbeat, and meditation, the group helped hold the "energy pattern" for the duration of the summit.

It was hoped that an Earth Charter would be the result of this event. This was not the case, however an international

agreement was adopted – Agenda 21 – which laid down the international "sustainable development" necessary to form a future

Earth Charter agreement. Maurice Strong hinted at the overtly pagan agenda proposed for a future Earth Charter, when in his

opening address to the Rio Conference delegates he said, "It is the responsibility of each human being today to choose

between the force of darkness and the force of light." [note: Alice Bailey, and Blavatsky before her, used these terms often.

Their writings state that the 'force of darkness' are those who adhere to the 'out-dated' Judeo-Christian faith; those who

continue along their 'separative' paths of the one true God. The 'force of light' (Lucifer), in there view, is the inclusive new age

doctrine of a pagan pantheistic New World Religion. In the New Age of Aquarius there will be no room for the 'force of

darkness' and 'separativeness'.] "We must therefore transform our attitudes and adopt a renewed respect for the SUPERIOR

LAWS OF DIVINE NATURE," Strong finished with unanimous applause from the crowd.

Despite the disappointing setback of no official agreement toward a "peoples Earth Charter", Maurice Strong forged ahead,

with Rockefeller backing, to form his Earth Council organization for the express purpose of helping governments implement

UNCED's sustainable development which Agenda 21 had outlined. Agenda 21 was perhaps the biggest step taken to facilitate

any future "enforcement" of a patently pagan Earth Charter. According to Strong "the Charter will stand on it's own. It will be in

effect, to use an Anglo-Saxon term, the Magna Carta of the people around the Earth. But, it will also, we hope, lead to action

by the governments through the United Nations."

ARK OF OUR DEMISE?

“Cosmos is my God. Nature is my God.”

“A post-Christian belief system is taking over – one that sees the earth as a living being mythologically, as Gaia, Earth Mother –

with mankind as her consciousness... Such worship of the universe is properly called cosmolatry.”

—Donna Steichen, Ungodly Rage, p. 237

Inside this ' Ark of Hope' the Earth Charter is handwritten on papyrus paper, and ready for presentation to the

United Nations; the Ark along with it's Gaia "Ten Commandments" – a new covenant to which every nation must adhere. Each

panel represents one of the five traditional elements of pagan worship: Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Spirit. According to the Ark

of Hope website, the Ark's dimensions are 49" X 32" X 32" and it was crafted out of a single Sycamore plank. The obvious

meaning behind the Ark of Hope is to mock God's own Ten Commandments and the Ark of the Covenant. In this context the

choice of Sycamore wood for the Ark of Hope's construction is a revealing one. The Sycamore tree was sacred to most all the

pagan religions in the middle east during biblical times, and in Egypt especially: To the Egyptians the Sycamore was a healing

tree; The tomb of Osiris was built in Sycamore wood, and shaded by Sycamore trees; Burial in Sycamore coffins was a

symbolic return into the womb of the mother goddess; The deceased hoped to live in the Sycamore tree. In the book of the

dead there are examples of a letter the deceased would write to the Goddess of the Tree, containing a prayer so that she

would provide water and air. 1

The New Age and the Radical-Left 'Enlightenment'

The "For Love of Earth" day-long celebrations at Shelburne Farms Vermont began with an early morning pilgrimage during

which 2000 or so participants, led by Satish Kumar, walked to the "great barn" where they were greeted by the sounds of the

"Sun Song" played by musician Paul Winter. The Pagan festivities continued with the words of Dr. Jane Goodall, Satish Kumar

and organizer Dr. Steven C. Rockefeller. The Earth worshippers were treated to dance, music and paintings of several

Vermont artists, after which they joined hands and offered an "Earth prayer" of "reverence" and "commitment" to Mother Earth

and the "Ark of Hope".

Satish Kumar, who led the early morning pilgrimage at Shelburne Farms, is an influencial advocate of Gaia. Kumar says that

"contemporary thinkers of the green movement are collectively developing an ecological world-view." The Earth Charter is the

green movement's crowning achievement toward this holistic world-view, and the practical means by which all of us will soon

be held accountable to "Divine Nature". According to Satish Kumar,2 this pagan view has five ingredients: Gaia (James

Lovelock), Deep Ecology (Arne Naess), Permaculture (Bill Mollison), Bioregionalism (Gary Snyder et al.), and Creation

Spirituality (Matthew Fox). "Creation Spirituality" is what had, undoubtedly, taken place at the Shelburne Farms Earth Charter

celebrations. In the words of Steven W. Mosher, president of Population Research Institute, "Gaia is the New Age term for

Mother Earth. The New Age believers hold that the earth is a sentient super-being, kind of goddess, deserving of worship and,

some say, human sacrifice. Compared to Gaia worship, the simple animism of primitive cultures is wholesome."

Musician Paul Winter also has deep roots within the green movement and "creation spirituality." He has performed concerts at

the Cathedral St. John the Divine in New York City, on the solstice and equinox, for well over twenty years. These pagan

festivals, in a supposedly christian church nonetheless, are generously sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation and a new

age organization called the Lindisfarne Institute – the latter of which has its headquarters in the Cathedral. Maurice Strong is

also a member of Lindisfarne (publishers of G-A-I-A, a way of knowing) along with Gaia theory biologist James Lovelock, and

admitted Luciferian David Spangler, among others. Paul Winters' most recent concert at St. John the Divine was for the annual

Earth Mass, on 7 October. 3 The fact that this annual October 7th Earth Mass coincides with the hindu Holy Day of Dassehra

(worship of the Great Divine Mother) cannot be a coincidence. Winter and bandmates play a tune called Missa Gaia as part of

the Feast of St. Francis. The Pope once attended the Feast of St. Francis at St. John the Divine in 1986. Stressing the unity of

all the world's religions, John Paul II happily shared the platform with a Tibetan Lama, a Hindu swami, a Native American

medicine man, and a Maori high priest.

The New American Insider Report of January 23, 1995 4 writes that the historic Episcopal Cathedral of Saint John the Divine

"has long been a center of New Age and radical-left 'enlightenment' and high-brow Establishment 'culture'." Author Gary Kah

reports, in his well-documented book The New World Religion, that the Cathedral of St. John the Divine displays "a female

Christ on the cross, complete with shapely hips and full breasts." Also in the same issue of The New American there is a list of

donors to the Cathedral: Mr. and Ms. Steven Rockefeller is among them, along with Mr. Robert de Rothschild; David

Rockefeller Jr.; Mrs. Mary C. Rockefeller; Mr. and Mrs. Laurance Spellman Rockefeller; Rockefeller Center Properties Inc.; The

Rockefeller Group Inc. and many elite-of-the-elite organizations such as J.P. Morgan & Co.; Chase Manhattan Bank; Goldman,

Sachs & Co.; Hearst Corporation; CBS, Inc. and even, mysteriously, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA),

among others.

Earth Charter Commission Co-Chairs

The Earth Charter Initiative was launched in 1994 by Maurice Strong, his newly formed Earth Council and Mikhail Gorbachev,

acting in his capacity as president of Green Cross International. In 1997, the Earth Council and Green Cross International

formed an Earth Charter Commission to give oversight to the process.

Sri Chinmoy

Indian Mystic, and outspoken advocate of the United Nations' "spiritual mission."

The U.N. Meditation Room is built in the shape of a truncated pyramid. In the center is an altar made out of magnetite, the

largest natural piece of magnetite ever mined. For meditation purposes it is probably the most ideal spot on the planet,

since the magnetite altar has its foundation straight down, built into the bedrock of the land below; tapping into the energies of

the earth itself. The mysterious mural also helps the worshippers tune into esoteric energies, and helps facilitate a state of

altered consciousness.

The Global Transformational Movement

A final version of the Earth Charter was issued by the Earth Charter Commission in March 2000. The Earth Charter "was

drafted in coordination with a hard law treaty that is designed to provide an integrated legal framework for all environment

development law and policy." This hard law treaty is called the International Covenant on Environment and Development and

is being prepared by the Commission on Environmental Law at the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN),

a behemoth agency which oversees 700+ governmental agencies worldwide.

The Earth Charter, consisting of 16 principles, has its roots in the values of the Transformational Movement. Jan Roberts,

president of the Institute for Ethics and Meaning describes this Transformational Movement as a paradigm shift from

individualism, self-interest and separativeness, to unity, wholeness and community. Steven C. Rockefeller was the prime

candidate for the leadership role as co-chair of the Earth Charter Steering Committee, the Drafting Committee and co-chair of

the final Earth Charter Commission. Besides being a professor of Religion and Ethics at Middlebury College, expounding the

virtues of "creation-centered theology," in his capacity as trustee of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, his family's resources

ensured the success of the project.

It's clear that the global transformationalists are promoting the Earth Charter as the "new scripture." At the presentation of the

Ark, and its "new gospel" contents, we can expect that it will be endorsed by the U.N. The halls of the United Nations has long

been a haven for New Age one-world religion spirituality. Former Secretary-Generals like Dag Hammarskjold (founder of the

U.N. Meditation Room), U Thant and former Assistant Secretary-General Robert Muller have long been outspoken advocates

of a new pantheistic global spirituality, using the U.N. as a vehicle to spread their doctrine.

The United Nations even has their own in-house prophet, Sri Chinmoy. This 70 year-old indian mystic is the official Spiritual

Advisor to the United Nations. For the past 23 years he has offered prayer and meditation meetings for anyone to attend every

Tuesday and Friday at the U.N. 5 Sri Chinmoy claims to have been Thomas Jefferson in a previous life, and he also claims to

be the Spiritual Brother to Jesus Christ. 6 Chinmoy's disciples claim he's one of a handful of fully enlightened beings on the

planet. Some disciples go so far as to claim he is an avatar, a living God. They meditate to a print of his face.

Perhaps the final resting place for the "Ark of Hope" will be in the United Nation's Holy-of-Holies, the U.N. meditation room.

"We have the UN Meditation Room, which is visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors a year," Robert Muller explains in his

To Sri Chinmoy and Robert Muller, world peace will ultimately depend "on divine and cosmic government" and an "alliance

between all major religions and the U.N." Muller has gone so far as to call the U.N. "the body of Christ." The United Nations

"will be the last word in human perfection," Sri Chinmoy proclaims, it will "stand as the pinnacle of divine enlightenment." 7

The Earth Charter stresses that man is his own saviour. By saving "mother earth" we will once again return to an idyllic Garden

of Eden. But instead of worshipping the Creator, the New Age Aquarian conspirators wish to plunge us headlong into a

creation-worship new world religion. "Little by little a planetary prayer book is thus being composed by an increasingly united

humanity seeking its oneness," Robert Muller preaches. "Once again, but this time on a universal scale, humankind is seeking

no less than its reunion with 'divine,' its transcendence into higher forms of life. Hindus call our earth Brahma, or God, for they

rightly see no difference between our earth and the divine. This ancient simple truth is slowly dawning again upon humanity, as

we are about to enter our cosmic age and become what we were always meant to be: the planet of God."

This is a good time for interfaith dialogue involving Christians, Jews and Muslims and members of other religious traditions as

well. The Earth Charter can be used as a catalyst for exploring common ethical values in these exchanges.

A year from now, the United Nations will convene the World Summit on Sustainable Development, and our government

representatives should know that we want the United States to play a creative leadership role at this critical world meeting.

Thousands of local, national, regional, and international organizations have now endorsed the Earth Charter. The most recent

endorsement has come from the Parliament of the World’s Religions.

Invite your organization to consider endorsing the Earth Charter, if you have not already done so. The more support we have

from civil society and local government, the greater the chance of endorsement by the United Nations General Assembly in

2002.

In my home state of Vermont, the Earth Charter is being transported across the state from town to town in a beautiful,

handcrafted Ark of Hope by people walking in a spirit of peace. In addition to the Earth charter, the Ark of Hope contains the

prayers and poems of many Vermonters. The global challenges before us are great, but if we unite behind the kind of vision

affirmed in the Earth Charter, there are grounds for hope........ With reverence for the mystery of being and with reverence

for life, let us resolve here today to commit ourselves anew to this great work.

In response to the Sept. 11th attacks, the Vermont organizers carried the Ark to New York. The Ark of Hope was

displayed at the United Nations from January 24th through February 19th.
