Open DayDuring the Open Day normal classes will take place in the studios allowing visitors to get a flavour of the range and variation of everyday learning activities at the TU Dublin School of Creative Arts (DSCA). In addition to this, each programme will deliver presentations in their studios. A schedule for this is outlined here. Presentations will vary with each programme but will include some of the following activities:
- 3rd and 4th year students will also make short presentations on their time studying at TU DSCA.
- recent student work, typifying various stages of each programme will be displayed and projected in the studios
- on-going projects and/or professional
Portfolio clinic A portfolio clinic will run throughout the morning. Students will/can bring their portfolio (regardless of the level they’re at) for a five minute consultation with an experienced member of staff. Students will receive advice on what to include in their portfolio and how to develop their portfolio for application to any 3rd level art and design programme.
A second portfolio clinic will be held on Thursday, 23rd January 2020

Open Day & Portfolio Clinic – Thursday, 14 November 2019
The TU Dublin School of Creative Arts in Grangegorman are offering students applying through CAO in February 2020 or any 5th year or Transition Year students, the opportunity to visit the School and meet staff and students from all programmes.
Applicants will also have the opportunity to bring their portfolio with them for a short consultation, see the facilities on campus and ask questions they may have in relation to the programmes.
The event will take place between 9.30am and 1.30pm. Visitors will be welcomed at the entrance of the North House studios. Literature from or about each programme will be available.
Visitors can also meet staff from support services such as the Access Office, Student Services, Student’s Union and Sport, to discuss the wide range of services and support available to a new TU Dublin student.
