VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

TRAINING

Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme for VBS is “Game On! Gearing Up for Life’s Big Game” 2 Peter 1:3. Dates are Sunday, June 10 - Friday, June 15, 2018. For ages Kindergarten through 6th grade. Dinner will be served each night. Please contact Pat Collins at (404-202-3148) if you are interested in being a leader, leader’s helper, or assist in any way. We need you! Please help!

* Fred Alvin Richardson’s Family and Friends in his death. He was 98 years old and lived in Buckhead. He died Monday, April 23, 2018. GIDEONS REACHING THE LOST God opened a door for the Gideons to place 54 testaments in the hands of our Glenn Jones MS students and some of the parents/students waiting in the cars parked at Zion Hill Baptist Church Thursday, April 19th. Thank you again for allowing your Gideons to utilize your parking lot to reach the lost for Jesus.

NOTES OF THANKS Thank you so much for those who visited Joyce, brought food, came to the funeral and for your support. We especially thank you for your love for Joyce and your prayers! “Lord, hear my prayer; let my cry for help come before You. Do not hide Your face from me

in my day of trouble. Listen closely to me; answer me

quickly when I call.” Psalm 102:1-2

On this National Day of Prayer, May 3, 2018, let us humble our-selves before our God and Crea-tor, asking Him to forgive our sins, and turn our hearts back to Him. Pray that God will help our nation, saving us from ruin and destruc-tion. Let us continue to be a na-tion under God. Historically, God has delivered nations from ruin when they called on Him for help and deliverance. Call on God for mercy and help.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13. If your mother is still living, please invite her to come and worship with you. We will host an all-men’s choir, and my mes-sage will be: “A Godly Woman, A Strong Woman.” We will give our adult women a gift.

Our quarterly business meeting is Wednesday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. Come for a meal at 5:30, and then help with the business of our church.

Graduate Sunday is May 20, at 11:00 a.m. We will honor our graduates who have completed high school, college, or tech-nical school. If you have a grad-uate in your family that we can honor, please let the church office know. Please give us their name, the school from which they are graduating, and a recent picture.

We will remember all who have given the ultimate sacrifice during the Memorial Day Service on Sun-day, May 27, at 11:00. We will have a video presentation about Memorial Day and those who have died for our country and our freedom. In the service, we will also recognize our veterans.
