The dining courts are thought of by many as the best place to grab a bite to eat at Purdue. However, this is not the case.

Located a short walk from Purdue’s campus, The Triple XXX, although little acknowledged by the university, is Indiana’s first drive-in and one of the most revered places to eat for both students and alumni.

The outside of the restaurant has an overhang, which is uncommon in today’s typical restaurants. It gives visitors a sense of its history.

The interior of the Triple XXX has changed very little over the years giving returning alumni a walk in their past and current students a feeling of the restaurant’s history.

Root-beer is the most popular drink choice. It’s made on-site and is the restaurant’s namesake as well as the reason for the Triple XXX’s existence.
