According to weather.com, in February of 2015, Massachusetts saw 64.8inches of snow. While we have no confirmations that we will be seeing theBlizzard of 2016 this February, Emerson College is in New England and, as weall know, the weather here changes on a minute-to-minute basis.

If there is 64 inches of snow outside, do you know where to go to see if classesare canceled? Emerson.edu would be your first stop (hopefully), but youcould also call 617.824.8500 and select option "2".

Are you the kind of person who is too lazy to check the website? Don't worry, there's a solution for you too!

Events In and Around Boston

When you think Valentine’s weekend in Boston or Cambridge you probably donot think, “Let’s go look at monkey skulls and dreamcatchers!” But that is exactlywhat you could do at Eridanos, an art gallery in Cambridge.

The event, Love Sucks Oddity Market, is a showcase of reclaimed art pieces andantiques Bad Moon Consignment and Our Lady of Reclamation have to trulyexpress what love means… to the odd. Expect to show your love with everythingfrom Saint iconography to skulls nestled in flowers.

Jennifer Simone and José Chávez, the sellers of the event, have posted a fewteaser images in the Facebook event to get patrons ready for what they will seein the art gallery. There has been a variety of reactions about the art pieces butSimone was quick to reassure all that this event is about respecting love for thedead. “Both Jose and I would never try to offend people with what we collect andmake. We are good people. We respect the dead.”

Pricing for specialty items like these will run around $200 for some mountedpieces. So if you are looking to get something for above your bed this might notbe the market for you. But take solace in the fact that you can bring that specialsomeone to one of the most unique Valentine’s dates possible.
