Mobile Payments Providers For 2015

Though Apple is the newcomer to the mobile payments market, they have made a big splash and are making mobile payments

mainstream.

Google Wallet

Launched in 2011, Google was ahead of it’s time, which as we’ve seen is not always a good thing. Apple Pay’s success is actually

helping adoption of Google Wallet.

Pay PalGrowth has slowed but Paypal is a big player in mobile payments and recently started working with Microsoft on building a strong

contender.

Current C

Apple Pay is not accepted at 50 of the largest retailers including Wal-Mart and Target, CurrentC will be accepted by these

companies, but has already been hacked.

An Honorable Mention because it was started by wireless providers and is now up for sale. Google is reportedly in talks

to buy it.
