Introduction

The Titanic was the biggest ship Britain ever made. It was the biggest ship in the world at the time. It set sail from Liverpool to New York on the 14th April 1912 at 23:40. It sunk hours later by hitting an iceberg.

The length of the Titanic was 269.1 metres It was 28 metres wide It used 825 tonnes a day of coal 2,223 people was on the ship 1,517 people died by drowning It took 2 hours 40 minutes to sink It took 74 years to find it
