LATEST BURRAGORANG VALLEYUNDERGROUND BASE INVESTIGATIONBY MEMBERS OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS UFORESEARCH CLUB.

By Rex GilroyCopyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

On the night of Friday 17th April, 2009, Heather and I, together with William Johnson, Kim and Ian Tracton, drove outin darkness to McMahons Lookout, which gives a commanding view of the Burragorang Valley and the northernoffshoot of Lake Burragorang [ie the backwaters of Warragamba Dam]. After arriving at the lookout around 80m it wasnot long before we were to witness incredible happenings in the valley below us.

The time was 8.30pm when after seeing a dense mist and cloud cover was obscuring the underground basearea, our attention was drawn to a single, round white glow coming from beneath the surface of the lake, close to thenorthern shoreline of the backwaters below us.

As we watched the object my binoculars caught sight of a glow emanating from the north-east corner of theshoreline below us, which coming from a Cliffside, lit up tree trunks on their eastern side, penetrating out into the laketo shine over the circular object glowing beneath the surface. This glow from the cliff base [an obvious undergroundbase opening] gradually faded away, leaving the glowing disc-shaped object, which continued glowing beneath the lakesurface. This glow would at times vary in intensity.

Then, at 9.33pm two more disc-shaped objects, both white-glowing appeared to fade into view on the westside of the first disc to form a straight east-west alignment. At this point also, each object was suddenly linked to thenorth shore by white-glowing underwater light shafts, then another underwater beam, glowing from the cliff base at thenorth-east corner of the lake linked all three objects. These connecting light rays faded away after about 20 minutes.

As we continued watching this light display, at 10.11pm the three glowing discs, all continuing to vary inintensity, appeared to me to be submerged saucer craft and we all discussed this possibility.

Then at 10.33pm the discs on the west site of the first observed one began to fade away, soon leaving the first[east end] disc to continue glowing alone. This discs glow periodically faded then brightened alternatively.

At 10.45pm this single glowing disc began moving slowly southwards, eventually to stop at a point roughly inthe middle of this extension of the lake continuing to alternatively fade and brighten. It then eventually completelyfaded away.

Then, at 11.26pm what may or may not have been the same disc, suddenly glowed into view close to the

western shore of the lake, where it continued to do so until 11.45pm when it too faded away. It was also about this timethat I spotted a gold-glowing light, which ha appeared from behind the mist and clouds covering the western side of thevalley where the underground base main saucer craft openings are located. Directing the others to this object, wewatched as it continued east out of sight, our view obstructed by the nearby forest. Was it an ordinary light aircraft, orsomething from the base? In any case we abandoned our Skywatch, which had in fact been a lake watch, excited atwhat we had been witness to.

*****So what can be the explanation of the three glowing underwater saucer-shaped objects? I maintain they were

flying craft, perhaps involved in some underwater manoeuvres. It would appear that the lake waters are being employed as underwater flying saucers nests, probably for

underwater movement and also take-offs, and even underwater landings. It is a point of interest that, over the years, atleast from the Warragamba Dam end, people have reported having seen saucers emerge from the lake to fly off into

the sky, thus suggesting that underwater activities involving flying saucers from the great Burragorang undergroundadvanced spaced travel technology base, have been going on for a great many years, and that we were very lucky tohave been on hand at the right time and location to witness some of these activities.

LATEST SKYWATCH OF BLUE MOUNTAINS UFORESEARCH CLUB.By Rex Gilroy

Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.Following our meeting on Saturday 18th April 2009 a number of regular members, including some of our new membersof Blue Mountains UFO Research club, carried out a Skywatch on Narrow Neck Plateau. As I had hoped to cap oursuccess of the previous night with another major UFO event I scanned the skies with my binoculars. We were not tobe disappointed

The Skywatch began around 6pm when I went out to the knoll on Narrow Neck Plateau together with GregFoster, Angelo Soccio, Kontessa Donlan and four other new members who were present for the first time.

Haze in distant Burragorang Valley made viewing difficult, but soon after arrival I was told a silver streak hadjust then shot upwards into the sky from the southwest far beyond narrow neck Plateau, that is from the BurragorangBase area. Although I failed to see that streak, I soon afterwards saw a horizontal silver streak to the south over andbeyond Mt Solitary.

Then at 8.18pm I saw another silver streak shoot upwards from the Base area, whereas the other missedseeing it this time. The flash went high into the sky.

Then I spotted another silver streak, shooting from out of nowhere to shoot horizontally across the skybeyond Mt Solitary and over the underground base.

Only the increasing cold and the decrease in visibility due to valley haze forced us to abandon our successfulSkywatch and retreat back to the warmth of the Gilroy home. We hope our next Skywatch results in more excitingevents.

As the result of a number observations made by myself and others in recent months it is certain that the topsecret underground advanced space technology base in Burragorang Valley appears to be expanding, with newcamouflaged saucer flight openings having been constructed in a neighbouring gully to the south of the original flightcentre, The neighbouring connected Wollondilly Valley underground complex is also active at present, as it appears thatextensions are under way there, and there have been numerous spacecraft seen taking off or flying into a remote area ofthat vast valley, where flight openings exist.

There are some eerie happenings occurring lately involving ETs and UFOs and Blue Mountains UFO ResearchClub is at the cutting edge in researching these events.

I believe that we can expect more surprising developments in our Clubs UFO investigations on the BlueMountains.

NEW URUTEMPLE SITE DISCOVERED ON BELL-BILPIN ROAD.By Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

On Sunday 19th April 2009 the Gilroys, together with Greg Foster [what would we ever do without him!] drove out tothe Bell-Bilpin stretch of road on a hunch that I might find a new Uru megalithic site.

The weather turned sour as we entered a gully in our car. Stopping at a location that I felt was a likely area tosearch, I stepped out of the car to find a small stone tool on the ground at my feet! Greg meanwhile alighted from thecar to pick up a slab of rock, which he immediately noticed bore Uruan script upon both of its flat surfaces!

As we reached the base of a high rock formation I chanced to pick up a small, crudely flaked quartz tool, notof Aboriginal but of the [eolithic] Homo erectus type and another small stone scraper. These tools are not all that oldhowever, a few years at the most, and I regard them as evidence of Yowie [ie living Homo erectus] activity hereabouts.

The rain was beginning to spit down as I decided to climb a steep slope beside the rockface. Greg soonfollowed and as the rain increased, we battled scrub to reach a flat clifftop half way to the summit above us. As Ientered the flat, open area [but for a few bushes and grass] I found sandstone slabs, worn with ages of weathering,

forming a rough enclosure. A narrow opening between two large rocks led into another section of what appeared to bea temple. The rain increased

We two soaked but not sorry archaeologists sheltered in a small rock overhang. Greg remarked that we wereprobably the first humans to shelter here since the Aborigines! But then, there is also the possibility of a Yowie or twohaving sat here also!

We were very close to the summit, but the cold and wet won out and we left that until another day, hopefullysoon, and in better weather! Who knows what might await us on the summit, perhaps an astronomical observatory ofthe former Uru inhabitants of this area?

I took a few photos of the mist-shrouded surroundings, a rugged, mysterious landscape, with mist-shroudedgullies where a small family of Yowies might easily live unknown to their modern human offshoots. Greg and I willindeed return here soon, for I have a feeling that we have only scratched the surface of something BIG.

PHOTOS OF THE HAWKESBURYRIVERMONSTER?By Rex Gilroy

Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.In the Blue Mountains UFO Research club newsletter for December 2008 I published photos of a dark image seen byme swimming westward up the Hawkesbury River at appoint east of Wisemans Ferry. The dark submerged image hadto be given a dotted outline. The creatures image can be said to resemble a plesiosaurus, marine reptiles supposedlyextinct since Cretaceous times some 65 million years ago, although marine reptiles of this general description are stillreported seen worldwide.

The date of my sighting was Monday 15th December 2008 and I took telephoto images from a highmountainside cliff overlooking the river. The time was 5.15pm when I first observed the dark shape, which was makinga disturbance in the water, consistent with a large creature with paddle-like flippers and tail.

Now new, if inconclusive photos, can be added to the previous ones taken at a much closer range. However, only a sighting of one of these reptiles surfacing along with clear photographs or video footage of such will solve themystery once and for all.

The latest possible photos of one of these reptilian creatures were taken by Greg Foster [I also shot somephotos, but my camera malfunctioned and I ended up with nothing!], during a drive with Heather along the riversideroad from Wisemans Ferry to Lower Portland. The best photos [originally in colour, but not as well reproduced here inblack and white] show the indistinct outlines of a large animal swimming westwards close to the southern shoreline ofthe river, at a point half way between the two communities. Prior to these photos, we spotted a dark shape somedistance away out in mid-stream. The photo shown here is of a dark shape barely breaking the surface. The creaturethen moved in closer to the south side of the river. By now the animal had submerged perhaps a metre, making a sizeestimate difficult, although the dotted outline of the submerged shape could suggest a creature of between 30 to 35 ft[about 9.15 to 10.67 metres] in possible length. In one photo the dark shape, now deeper in the water, passed by a treewhich blocked our view. From the size of the dark outline seen at various angles it is certain that the creature was large-bodied.

I began the Hawkesbury River Monster Survey back in 1975 although I had learnt of these creatures as earlyas 1965, beginning my research into the mystery with a bare handful of sightings accounts. Heather and I have over theyears gathered hundreds of sightings claims, not only in the Hawkesbury, but also adjoining Nepean River, where somecreatures have become trapped in the deeper parts of the river following floods when they were able to swim as far asthe Penrith-Mulgoa section of the Nepean.

Ancient Aboriginal rock art on the Central coast and near Wisemans Ferry, if not elsewhere hereabouts datingback 3,000 years or more, attests to their knowledge of what they called the Mirreeulla long before the coming ofEuropean settlement of the Hawkesbury district.

Our river-watching activities will continue as always, in the hope of turning up more information. And one, dayhopefully, good photographic evidence of these living fossils.

NEW HOMO ERECTUS DISCOVERIES FOUND AT COONABARABRAN,NSW.By Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

The field researches of the Gilroys indicate with certainty the fact that the interior of New South Wales, now largelydry, but during the Pleistocene period was a lush environment, is rich in Homo erectus fossils and his eolithictechnology for those skilled in finding it.

On Monday 20th April Heather and I made a few days visit to Coonabarabran, for the purpose of visiting ourSydney friends, Peter and Sylvia Rajic, who own a property at the foot of an imposing volcanic plug, at the base ofwhich the Castlereagh River [more like an occasional creek when not in flood] runs.

The next three days of a preliminary archaeological/palaeontological search on this property were to result insome exciting finds of great importance to our research into the pre-Aboriginal hominin history of Australia. With theassistance of Peter Rajic I uncovered two ancient riverfront campsites which produced, besides crude Eolithic tools, fossil remains suggesting a reasonably large population inhabited the riverbanks here in mid-Pleistocene times andearlier. The Rajics 150 acre property also revealed evidence of the former presence of a giant form of Homo erectus, but more anon.

When I saw the river for the first time on the Tuesday morning, I could see that in Pleistocene times that it wasmuch wider and deeper. The house rests upon the top of a gradual slope which extends down to the present river onthe southern side, whereas the northern side of the river bank gradually rises to become very steep as it climbs to thebase of the volcanic plug, much of this steep base area being composed of solidified volcanic lava and ash, below whichages of rubble and topsoil extend downwards to the river bank.

I measured the rivers Pleistocene width from its original southern and northern shorelines at 285 metres, byup to 15 metres in possible former depth.

As I left the house with Peter that Tuesday morning to commence searching the area, I joked that I would findsomething within 10 minutes. I actually picked up an eolith, a crude basalt chopping tool within 3 minutes! I found thisspecimen on the south side of the river above the present bank. It had surely been weathered to the surface fromhigher up, gradually being moved by nature to where I found it.

Then, from a strata recently exposed on the north bank and lying in a layer of smooth water-washed stones, Irecovered a basalt-mineralised fossil bone fragment, the distal end of a hominin femur.

As Peter and I searched along the north bank I found a badly worn edged large basalt chopping tool. Thenfurther along the north bank as we moved in a westerly direction, I found projecting from the ground, a large lump ofmudstone which showed the unmistakable impression of the palate and dental arch of a large hominin.

We reached a high, sloping section of bank. Here Peter made an important find, the first of two, in the form ofa large mineralised, badly crushed lower jaw of a hominin, exposed from the side of the bank. Like the impressions ofteeth in the dental arch and palate just recovered, the teeth of this being were larger than those of a modern human.Peters second find came from a section of eroded bank, from which he retrieved a large mineralised [basaltic] endocast, being that of a badly preserved Homo erectus skull-type, crushed in places and with missing sections. A small scrapingtool was recovered beside it in the same strata. Further eoliths [ie dawn tools] were recovered hereabouts.

Before describing the aforementioned discoveries in detail and arriving at an overall date, I shall mention twoother fossil hominin finds made by me back at the first campsite uncovered. The first of these was a lump of weatheredbasaltic mudstone which I had at first thought to be an old cobble tool with a worn cutting area, and had placed it inmy bag during a second visit to this campsite on Wednesday 22nd April. Only after washing the specimen of its muddycoating that night back at our motel, did I realised that the tool was actually the worn, basalt-mineralised skull [lower

jaw missing] of an undoubted Homo erectus juvenile! This little fossil had been recovered from the north bankoccupation area among a number of small to large eoliths, all of the same brownish colour.

The second find, made on Thursday 23rd April, came from a dried section of riverbed amid water-washedbasaltic gravels, all black, and having been washed gradually from an ancient strata of the north bank. Chancing to pickup this specimen, which appeared larger than the other small stones, I realised I had found the left lower jaw fragmentof a hominin. There were remains of three teeth broken and worn down to the jaw surface, a badly worn specimen butstill of immense importance to my researches.

On that Thursday afternoon I uncovered a small campsite nearby the Rajic house and close to their roadsidefence some distance southward of the beginning of the gradual slope down to the present river. Here I found a smallnumber of eoliths which I photographed in situ, then measured this obviously gradually exposed site, which looked likea temporary one occupied by one or perhaps two Homo erectus people.

That day also I climbed the steep volcanic slope to locate old occupation sites higher up, where scatterings of

eoliths covered the area. Other sites, exposed by erosion were found, but time prevented a more detailed survey as wehad to leave for home on the following day. A future investigation up on that volcanic slope could reveal interestingsurprises.

    12

The relevant measurements of the fossil finds are included with their photos. The eoliths are still beingsketched and measured so that these measurements are not available here, although those photographed in this articlewith a 30cm ruler show that they are mostly of average size.

The first occupation site uncovered by me, and from where the small jaw fragment and juvenile skull fossilswere recovered, lies at the eastern end of the Rajic property. The north bank seems to have been favoured foroccupation, but perhaps the south bank could hide buried evidence yet to be found. Measurement of the north banksite reveals an area of occupation of at least 42 metres by at least 12 metres width to the present rivers edge.

The second major occupation site, discovered on the eroded high bank of the river, lies roughly three quarters

of the way across the Rajic property towards the west boundary. It roughly measures 22 metres wide up a the slopefrom the river bank by perhaps about the same area in length, but time prevented more detailed study here, makinganother visit necessary in the future. It is beneath this site that a large basalt slab was found by me on the Tuesdayevening containing a huge fossil hominin right foot impression. The slab had originally come from a strata above andfallen into the rivers edge. Its weathered, fading state made chalking in the fossils outline necessary.

Dating the fossils by the old and reliable British positive dating method, based upon the ages of the variousstratas and the time scientists believe it could take for a skull or other hominin skeletal fossil to mineralise depending onits geology, is tied in with the original rivers formation. The basaltic mineralisation of the fossils would for variousreasons take at least a few hundred thousand years before their burial by overlying sediments, so that we are looking ata far earlier age of at least 1 million to 1.5 million years BP [Before Present].

More work still needs to be carried out at the Rajic site. Other mysteries remain to be fully investigated, such aspossible evidence of a pre-Homo erectus hominin race based upon a few very crude eoliths, and the giant footprint

whose maker left it in mud covered by a volcanic ash deposit which preserved it. However, the slab itself comes fromrock strata pre-dating the aforementioned occupation sites and their fossil/Eolithic technology.

The Rajic property fossil skull/palate/jaw etc finds prove that a large form of Homo erectus [minus the giantfossil footprint] of perhaps 7 to 8 ft [2.14 to 2.44m] in height once developed in the Coonabarabran district, sharing thecountryside with his smaller homo erectus relatives and a giant race which judging by the size of the fossil footimpression, reached a height of 3.66 metres or over!

URU OF THEWARRUMBUNGLESDISCOVERYOF ASUN-WORSHIP CULT CENTRE NEAR COONABARABRAN.

by Rex Gilroy.Copyright Rex Gilroy 2009.

On Monday 20th April Heather and I made a few days visit to Coonabarabran, for the purpose of visiting our Sydneyfriends, Peter and Sylvia Rajic, who own a property at the foot of an imposing volcanic plug. Here with Petersassistance I not only uncovered evidence of early Pleistocene period activity of Homo erectus, but evidence of far laterUruan cultural activity.

That the Uru were established in this part of New South Wales, just as they were elsewhere across Australia, did not surprise me. However, the handful of relics uncovered, shows that theRajic property was once the site of a now virtually vanished solar-worship temple, but for a surviving altar stone, andthat here the local Uru had established a solar cult which appears to vary in some respects from what we are used tofurther south, ie in the Blue Mountains-Central west.

During a search of the Rajic property on the Tuesday for fossil human remains I came upon a large lump ofbasalt bearing a deeply carved mouth. Thinking it to be a stone head I later washed it of its lichen coating to find asolar disc above the mouth. I soon realised that I had found an image of the Sun-God Nim and his sister, Ara, theMoon-Goddess, in half-moon aspect. The heavy image measured 37cm long by 18cm wide and 16cm deep.

This find was only a curtain-raiser for bigger finds on Wednesday 22nd April. In the vicinity of the Nim-Arastone, I recovered among grass-covered rubble, a crude image which resembled others of the head of I-na, the Eagle ofthe Sun, who protects Nim each day in his course across the heavens.

Peter Rajic had to work on his property, so I made a lone search on the slope at the base of the great volcanicplug above the presently dry Castlereagh River which passes through the Rajic property. Here upon a high cleared areabut for some large basalt rocks I came upon a crude basalt altar slab erected upon another large stone beneath.

The altar was erected upon a north-south axis, the south end of the altar stone being pointed, with a deepstroke cut in the centre of the altar measuring 16cm long, aligned with the point, which in turn pointed towards a cleftin the hills a couple of kilometres to the south. The altar measured 60cm tall by 82cm long, the base stone being 92cmlong by 45cm wide. The altar slab itself was 32cm deep by 34 and 35cm wide.

Having measured the altar, I noticed that a large granite stone 30cm from its north base was roundish with amouth-like slice taken from it, above which I found the fading image of a round eye. The stone, which measured 46cmwide and 47cm long by 12cm deep, was an undoubted Sun-face, that is an image of the Uruan Sun-God, Nim.

I now turned my attention to the large stones lying scattered about, four forming an alignment north-south justto the west of the altar, while other scattered specimens gave the impression of having formed an enclosure with theother four. Whatever other stones that had once stood here forming what was obviously a temple structure were longcrumbled away. The stones formed an area about 7 metres square.

A little to the west I found the outline of a stone base to a long-vanished structure. However, the daylight wasnow going and I began making my way down to the dried up river course. Crossing it I saw an ordinary lump of rockembedded in the ground among other rubble. Whatever caused me to dig this particular rock out of the ground I shallnever know, for there was nothing on the side facing me. However, upon turning it over I was surprised to find a leftface profile engraved upon it. At first this consisted of an eye and mouth. However, after washing the mud off it Ifound a long ear, and the side originally thought to have nothing on it now revealed a fading Sun-disc. The image wasthat of Nim, displaying a unique long-ear.

The stone measured 29.5cm long by 14.5cm wide and 6cm deep.Having placed this stone in my backpack, in fading light I walked up the rise on the south side of the river

towards the Rajic house in the distance. Then, looking down I saw a brownish-coloured basalt stone which told me topick it up. Upon close inspection I was astounded to find it to have been carved in the form of a bird, the beak havinglost its point with an eye on each of its flat sides. The right side bore the faded outline of a hand holding a Sun-disc,and on the left, the outline of a wing extending downwards to a point. Here was an image of I-na, the Eagle of theSun. The image was 22cm long , 12cm from beak to back of head, 14cm wide toward the flat base, and 8.5cm deep.

****These finds were joined the following day by the discovery of a large stone platform at a site in the nearby

Warrumbungle Range. Obviously the Uru were once well established hereabouts, and isolated from other widely-scattered communities, developed a Sun-cult with imagery which differed to Nim Sun-worship rock art beyond theseranges. That Nim was depicted with a long ear could suggest this might have been a feature of the priesthood, eitherconfined to this region, or else yet to be identified elsewhere. The Easter Island long ears comes to mind.

A more extensive search for evidence of the Uru megalithic culture in this region, may eventually turn up moresurprising evidence of local cultural variation and beliefs of this civilisation which once covered Australia, then spreadout across the earth before the dawn of recorded history.
