WhiteHat launched a Mentoring Scheme in November

2017 for all of their apprentices and graduates. They are

paired with an inspirational young professional who is

successful in their field to help expand their horizons,

build their networks and support their development.

Mentoring Scheme

WhiteHat Apprentices cite ‘being the youngest in the office’ as one

of their biggest challenges to starting their apprenticeship. We are

helping them build a professional and social network across the

WhiteHat Community to support them in their training and

development. WhiteHat apprentices will be planning and delivering

social events for each other in 2018.

WhiteHat Apprentices can attend optional training events helping

them develop key skills such as building a personal brand and how

to communicate effectively. This complements and strengthens

the teaching and learning which already takes place and makes

them stand out in the workplace.

Apprentices can apply to take part in the Brand Ambassador

Scheme. This gives them a chance to visit schools and take part in

events where WhiteHat is represented. They will develop their

presentation and marketing skills and provided on the spot

feedback on their practice to help with their development.

Keeping in contact with our apprentices is really important. We

want to know how they are doing, keep them connected to each

other and our mission and help them if they need support in making

a career move. Events could be social or professional training

events.

Alumni Events

Once our apprentices have completed their apprenticeship we want

to make sure that they have made it to an exciting next step that

will propel their career forwards even further. Our ‘next steps’

career sessions and WhiteHat coaches will support our apprentices

in making well informed decisions about the future.
