ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY

To commemorate our 150th

Anniver-sary as a church, we are asking those who are able to contribute to the “150 Offering,” giving one dollar for each year of our existence to our building fund on Anniversary Sunday, August 19, 2018. We also ask you to contribute to the “Anniversary Fund,” which will help us do some improvements to our property for the anniversary. Two pro-jects that we want to do are painting the fellowship hall and re-striping the main parking lot. Any offering that you can give above your regular giving will be appreciated.

NOMINATING TEAM The Nominating Team has begun to work on the Ministry Teams for the church year 2018-2019. If you are in-terested in serving on a team or if you are already serving on a team and wish to continue on that team please let us know by filling out the form located on the reception desk in the lobby and give to Jean Cole or contact her (770) 945-9462.

NOMINATING TEAM MEETING We will have a brief Nominating Team meeting following the morning wor-ship service, Sunday, July 29 2018. We will meet in Doug Wade’s Sunday School class room. For any additional information please contact Jean Cole (770) 945-9462.

WEDNESDAY EVENING SERVICES There will not be any Wednesday even-ing serves in the month of July. No meals, no Bible Study. This is a time for all workers to have a summer break. Regular services will resume August 1st.

DEACON NOMINATION We will have Deacon nomination on Sunday, July 8th and Sunday 15th. Deacon election will be on Sunday, August 12th. WELCOME NEW INTERIM STUDENT MINISTER We welcome Justin Killillay as our in-terim student minister. He will lead our student ministry until we call a per-manent minister to our students. Jus-tin served as a ministry intern under Aaron Findley for the last year. Pray for Justin that he will lead our students with a Christ-like spirit and passion.

GEORGIA BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOME TRUCKLOANDING

We will be collecting: Grits (instant & regular), cereal, 100% Juice, Oatmeal, and Tash bags, Paper towels, Tissue paper, and gift cards for the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home.

Please bring your items to the church and place in the box provided, located in the lobby. The deadline is Sunday, August 12th.

Truth is what is absolutely so. Je-sus claimed to be the embodiment of the truth. He was absolutely the Son of God, the Savior of the world. When we follow Christ and live in the truth, we are set free from deception and darkness. Celebrate your freedom in Christ by worshiping Him, and showing your gratitude to Him for your spir-itual freedom.

Our Patriotic Service will be Sun-day, July 1. Come and celebrate our nation’s 242

nd birthday.

Come and celebrate your freedom in Christ and your freedom as a

citizen. We will have a special video presentation and a mes-sage: “Set Free!” We will pray for our nation, and recognize our veterans. Invite someone to come and worship with you.

Let me thank all of you who made our Vacation Bible School a success. We saw God work in the lives of several of our children and families.
