The sun flower on average is six to eight feet tall. It has a flower head surrounded by yellow, maroon, or orange petals. The petals are arranged in a spiral pattern. The stem is sturdy, and has leaves with a sandpaper texture.
The sunflower can grow in various areas, but it grows best in lower climates. Sunflowers can grow in almost any soil. It will even grow in sand or clay. Sunflowers are also dicots and angiosperms.
Sunflowers today are used as, bird food, cooking oil, medicine, and paint. Sunflower oil has also proven to help lower cholerstol.
