1. Admonish the sinner T Be willing to have a personal conversation with someone who is misleading others in matters of faith and morals. T Take time to evaluate if you are instructing and disciplining your children on important matters. T Be willing to share the message of the gospel with others: Christ came to set us free! 2. Instruct the ignorant T Teach your children the faith. T Encourage someone to read a Catholic book that supports solid teaching. T Consider volunteering at a vacation bible school, at a Catholic retreat for children, or at a parish-wide event for children. 3. Counsel the doubtful T Be a person of hope to others. T Consider reaching out to someone who doubts their faith. 4. Comfort the sorrowful T Comfort your children when they are sad. Show them empathy in their suering. T Consider praying the sorrowful mysteries of the Rosary for those who are suering. T Reach out to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, have experienced a miscarriage, are fighting cancer, or have family problems. Drop a card in the mail, make a meal, or share a word of concern for their pain. 5. Bear wrongs patiently T Be patient with your family as they grow in grace and maturity. T Learn to listen more than you speak. 6. Forgive all injuries T Remember to say “I am sorry” when you are in the wrong. T Participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation and ask forgiveness for your sins. T Work on having a family environment where people apologize for their shortcomings. T Give friends a second chance. Remember to let the past go so you can move forward. T Have a monthly meeting where your family discusses injuries and hurt feelings. Use this as a way to improve family rela- tionships. 7. Pray for the living and the dead T Consider sending a prayer card or Mass card to someone in need. T Visit a cemetery on All Souls Day to remember the poor souls in purgatory. T Remember your daily oering and oer up tasks you don’t like for your deceased family members.
