m erc ia l L e a d e r for about a year n o w a n d I 'v e rea lly enjoyed it. A b o ve a ll it keeps us boys in to u c h ‘w ith w h a t’s going on. who is getting m arried and who en te rs the service and such as that I ’ve w r itten severa l letters tf y o u r outfit, thank ing them.

In the last one I rece ived I noticed the drastic change in the police departm ent Y o u would th in k they w ou ld t r y to 'k e e p ex penses dpwn for the potjr tax p ay ers. I guess the commissioners th in k that now , w ith most of the vo ters aw ay in the service, they can p u t som ething o ve r o nthose poor policem en that have a tough job, keeping ch ild ren i f f the streets, o r stop them from m ak ing noise T he .whole set-up sor o f sm ells a little, to me N ow w ith most o f the m en gone they shou ldn 't even need cops as much as they used to F ro m indications and lite ra tu re , the cops h^ye noth ing to do but ride around after ch ild ren T h a t sure is a tough job and re a lly needs th ree captains and lieutenants. It s about time those com m issioners smartened up
