In the morning, Bud went to the soup kitchen to get food.

There was a long line of people already at the soup kitchen. Bud was late.

A man told Bud that Bud could not get food because he was late.

There was a nice man already in line.

The nice man pretended Bud was his son.

Bud got to stand in line with the nice man.

Bud got food at the soup kitchen. Bud ate oatmeal at the soup kitchen.

The nice man gave Bud some brown sugar to put on his oatmeal.

Bud was happy. Bud ate a good breakfast.

Bud was happy the nice man helped him in line.
