It's been 18 months since Smith & Sons launched the business with the goal of being the world's number one renovator. 18 months on, we have 18 franchise owners up and running, and despite the global recession, we are moving forward and growing the business daily. The last few months I have travelled to the South Island to visit the teams there, and also to the north to attend a North Island franchise meeting, which was fantastic. As well as that, I visited the NSW team and South Australia teams. I take this time to welcome the latest franchise owners - Adrian and Theresa from Adelaide, Gary and Tina from Matamata, and Richard and Helen from Coroman- del. We are truly fortunate to be attracting such high calibre partners that are joining our team and it shows that our brand is one that stands for integrity and innovation. New Franchise Owners...

www.smith-sons.com

Adrian and Theresa from South Australia have taken up the Mt Barker franchise area. When Garth and Corey first saw Adrian together last year, he was need deep in mud in a trench, and the boys gave him the presentation in the pour-ing rain! You can imagine Garth’s excitment when a year later Adrian called and said he had decided to come on board! Well done Garth!

After a lot of hard work, The North Island of New Zealand is buzzing with two new franchise owners hitting the scene.

We are not sure if we will see their car doing the same tricks as Reon Taylors, but our new Matamata franchise owners Gary & Tina are definately Ford fans! Gary is currently restoring a Ford ‘69 Mustang which is sure to be awesome when finished. I’m sure the boys from corporate would love a drive when finished! Great to have you both on board! Gary & Tina

Again in the North Island, Coromandel has been ‘Smithyized’, with Richard and Helen as the new franchise owners there. Richard & Helen have a lifestyle block and six kids so they know what busy is! Richard has been project managing high end homes for some time so will be a great addition to the Smithy team. Well done guys!

There has been more exciting times in Smith & Sons with three new franchise owners taking up the oppor-tunity of a lifetime! All of the team below have been to the Coast to do the training, and are now back in their areas getting ready to become the biggest renovators around!

HIA Homeshow...In conjunction with our recent Master Meeting, we attended the Brisbane HIA Building and Renovating Expo at the exhibition centre. It was a huge success and really showed us how much work there is out there. There are a lot of people renovating and we need to put our hat in the ring and get our hands on this market!! Home shows are a fantastic way to get leads, and we got over 100 written leads to follow up for work which is a mas-sive job.

July Master Meeting...

www.smith-sons.com

Our recent Master Meeting was held in July at the Rydges Hotel in Brisbane. We started the first day with a game of paintball, so we all had an opportunity to shoot people we really wanted to shoot!!! When you got shot you had to raise your hands but that didn't mean alot and to most, it meant an easy target!!! Hahahaha! Some had more brusies than others, either that meant they were not very stealthy, or were a wanted target!! Our meeting was a huge success with a lot of great ideas around the table to really take the business to the next level.

Guess Who...

Rule number 1 in Christchurch:

Do not get in Lance’s way on his way to work!

Christchurch franchise owner Lance was so excited to get to work that when a lady in front of him decided to stop, Lance decided to just get her out of the way! It took an unexpected turn when the car went into a garden, mounted a rock and then rolled! Not your usual trip to work!! No-one was injured and last we heard the food in the Christchurch prison is great!

Also if you live in the North Island of New Zealand and your black mannequin has gone missing - Phil has finally caught the conspirator on camera! Imagine his shock when he found Di - the North Islands dedicated support person - making a hasty escape as she nabs yet another one! After the police were called - you guessed it - she is sharing a cell with Lance!

This months guess who quiz features these two ripped, adventurous mountaineers sailing down the side of a cliff. Taken in the mid ‘90’s, the skill of these two climbers took the world by storm and they both turned down numerous major sponsorships from sports compa-nies, bodybuilding companies, health food stores and more. Today they live the quiet family life, at home with family and responsibilities.

GUESS WHO!!
