What is the skeletal system

The skeletal system is basically the whole skeleton it holds the skull and about two hundred other bones that are beneath the flesh of the human body. There are a lot of bones in the human body and everyone needs most of them to be healthy.

teeth

Wisdom TeethThe last teeth that appear in your mouth are your wisdom teeth. Now days our jaws are smaller, there often isn’t enough room so the wisdom teeth can cause problems. It’s not clear what their function is.

Two Sets Of TeethThe full 32 teeth are complete when the two wisdom teeth grow in at late teens or early twenties. The milk teeth (A.K.A your first set of teeth) at around the age of six start to get loose and the permanent teeth start to grow in.

Tooth DecayTooth decay starts to build p when you have sweet treats. Over night if you do not brush your teeth little germs have time to start and niggle away at your teeth and over time they with make you have a cavity and then that tooth will fall out even if it is a permanent one.

SkullThe skull in the human body protects the brain like a container that holds a special liquid for the brain to stay in place. The skull is major for the human body because it holds he brain in place. Without the skull everyone's head would be wiggling around and not being able to stay in one place for the brain. The skull consists of twenty two cranial and facial bones. The bones of the head and neck play the vital role of supporting the brain, censoring organs, nerves, blood vessels and muscles. the skull protects the five senses including: hearing, vision, taste, smell and touch.I am going to make a list of a few facts: The jawbone is the strongest bone in the human skull Fourteen bones at the front of your face hold your eyes in place and form your

facial features. The jawbone is also called the mandible All of your facial bones are arranged in pairs.

Broken Bones

RepairRepairing a broken bone takes about 2-8 weeks to heal but if it is and older bones it can take a lot longer.

FracturesIf you put out your arms when you fall you can end up with an impacted fracture, where the ends of two bones are forced into one and other. A sharp fast twist in foot ball could end up giving you a jagged spiral fracture.

Bones are very strong, yet very light as well. Bones feel solid although they are half water. Bones are mostly made out of calcium carbonate but are also made out of calcium phosphate. Bone develops out of cartilage which is very rubbery and transparent. Baby’s bones are soft and quite flexible but as they grow up more calcium gets to the bones and they start to get harder and harder.

Ribcage

The ribcage is one of the major parts of the human body it protects the heart and lungs. If we didn’t have a ribcage we could have severe damage to the human body, if the heart got punched or something like that it could move the human heart and cause severe damage to them. The ribcage has a lot of connected bones and is one of the many important bones in the human body it also protects the main part of the human breathing it also protects diaphragm. The ribcage has three types of bones and has over twenty four bones altogether.

legs

The legs we need for a lot of things we need them for walking and riding bikes, skateboards and scooters. We also need legs for swimming. basketball, gymnastics, soccer, running and lacrosse. Legs are needed for human life but you won’t die if you don’t have them. Legs give us privileges that people without legs can’t. People with no legs can still do most sport we can but it’s not the same for them they have to be in wheelchairs or have crutches but for us be just go for it. Wheel chairs are efficient ways to travel and so are crutches but they do not always work properly for wheelchairs the wheel can get jammed and with crutches if you put one of the legs on a rock or something you fall.

Arms and shoulder

Your arms and should let you get faster in running and can also be used for sports like boxing and gymnastics. Shoulders are also major if one of lose goes out of place your whole arm is affected. People who get a broken arm cannot run as fast or it will move and start to hurt if they do sport with a broken arm and move to fast it will take a lot longer to heal and repair the broken arm. Arms take about 2-8 weeks to repair and it may be more depending on what actions they do.

calcium

Calcium is basically the vitamin that makes your bones. It makes them stronger and if you don’t get enough it won’t come out very well. The calcium has a big role in your body it makes every single bone in your body. If we didn’t have calcium for our bones we would be weak and we get very far if we ran because we would fall with no calcium. If we had no calcium our bones would start to leave us basically they would become brittle and break so we wouldn’t be able to walk. If we didn’t get calcium for the human body we wouldn’t even have teeth because teeth are bones and without calcium we would have no bones to walk with or even move our body.
